Charles Edgington
1821-1901; 7th Cpl., Co. A, 34 IA Infantry; Oakdale Citizens Cemetery; born in Ohio; enlisted 08/09/1862, residing at Garden Grove, Iowa; discharged due to  disability at St. Louis, Missouri 04/10/1863; widow Sarah; member of Dixon Point GAR, Petaluma, California; pension application #103274; widow's pension application filed in 1901 in California; died in Oakdale, California; Charles is enumerated on the Veterans Schedule of 1890 in Ogden, Utah with Reason H. Slater, his son-in-law.  They both served from Iowa.
Obadiah Eighmy
1836-1933; Pvt., Co. E, 12 WI Infantry; Turlock Memorial Park; born in New York; wife Mary H.; came to Petaluma, California by 1910; pension application #579908 filed on 01/15/1886; widow's pension application filed on 19/12/1933 in California; a carpenter; first and last Commander of GAR Post #197, Turlock, California.
James Gordon Elmore
1843-1931; Pvt., Co. D, Snider's Battalion, MO Cavalry, CSA; Modesto Pioneer Cemetery Mausoleum; born in Pike County, Missouri; wife Mary M. Orr Burks; first came to California in 1865, returned with rest of family by railroad in 1869; Director of First National Bank in Salida, California; active in County Farmers' Alliance; died near Salida.
