1842-1920; Pvt., Co. A, 19 IN Infantry; Co. I, 20 IN Infantry; Modesto Citizens Cemetery GAR plot; born in Johnson County, Indiana; enlisted 02/14/1862, residing at Indianapolis, Indiana; mustered out 07/12/1865 at Louisville, Kentucky; wounded 05/12/1864 at Spottsylvania Court House, Virginia; wife Eliza E; came to California about 1905; member of William Smith Post GAR, Sheridan, Indiana; died in Atwater, California.
Hudson H. Acker
1840-1919; Pvt., Co. F, 21 IA Infantry; Oakdale Citizens Cemetery; he was wounded in the shoulder, suffering with it for years; born in Dubuque, Iowa; enlisted 08/21/1862; mustered out at Baton Rouge, Louisiana July 1865; wife Lydia Ogden; came to California by 1879; pension application #204195 filed on 05/17/1875; died in Stockton, California.

George William Averill
1844-1929; Pvt., Co. F, 6 ME Infantry; Ceres Memorial Park; born in Maine; enlisted 12/12/1861 at Machias, Maine; mustered out due to disability 01/29/1863; came to California 1869; partner in Averill Bros and Hall, a blacksmithing and machine business in Ceres, California.
