Am looking for any information on
Otis Redman Wyeth,
my great uncle who was, according to
an aunt, murdered and possibly
robbed in Shasta City, CA. when he
was a young man. He was born in 1869
in Indiana and his daughter, Rose
Ruth, was born in 1895. His wife's
name was Anne. Any information would
be greatly appreciated. |

Holman |
There is a small Indian cemetery
north of Redding in a community
called Castella. My Great x3
Grandparents are buried there; David
Holman
and his wife who was a Wintun
Indian. Since she did not read or
write, her name was spelled in a
variety of ways depending on who was
doing the writing, it could appear
as Siamat, Siamit, Symatee, Symotee,
Simonota or Simartea. She also went
by the white names of Mattie and
Kate. If anyone is by chance near
enough to take a look I'd like to
get pictures of the headstones. I'll
happily return the favor for anyone
who needs courtesy work done in
Atchison or Leavenworth Counties,
Kansas. Thanks much. |

Charves, Dehle,
McNess, Shelton |
I am looking for any information
on my mother, Estelle Gladys Dehle
(Sally Charves). She lived in
Redding between 1940 and 1955 on
California St. and then sold the
house to the Shelton's. I believe it
was Harry and Lylice Shelton.
My name is Kerry Charves
and my father was Leland Charves who
worked for ONC and Consolidated
Freightways. I am also
interested in Harold McNess -
he was my fathers friend when he
drove for Oregon Nevada CaL
Trucking. |

Beaves/Beeves,
Childer/Childress |
The Beeves/Beaves
family I am following lived in St.
Michaels Parish, Madison Co., MO
during th emid-1800's. Louis
(b.1809/11) m. Julye/Julie
Cailliotte dit La Chance (b.1819/26)
on 7 Feb 1832. Their second child,
Nicholas (b. 1 Apr 1837) is the
person I am interested in. I believe
he m. Elizabeth Rebecca Childer/Childress
about 1859. He is in the 1850 census
in MO living with his parents in
Madison Co.
If I have the right guy he's in the
1860 census in Butte Co. CA. with
his wife, Rebecca, and a one-year
old daughter. So, how and when did
he get from MO to CA? Nicholas and
his daughter, Lily May, are buried
in Igo Cemetery, but I don't know
where his wife is buried. Any
information about this family is
appreciated. |

Bailey, Bilderback,
Davis, Day, Keaney |
My wife's Bilderback
linage has a long history in and
around Shasta County. Her father and
grandfather were born there. Her
great and her great, great
grandfathers, Joseph and Joe, came
there from the mid-western states of
Ohio and Wyoming and settled there.
Anyone with any information
connected to Elmer James, Elmer J.
Joe, Joseph, Thomas, and Masson
Bilderback all form the Shasta area.
I would love to hear from you.
I would also like to hear from
people who may have information on
Carrie Bilderback who married George
W. Day,
May 30, 1894 Shasta County,
California. Ella M. Keaney who
married Joseph J. Joe Bilderback
February 12, 1896 Shasta County,
California. I would also like to
know information on Mattie Bailey who
married a Davis
then Elmer J. Bilderback. To be
honest I would be interested in any
Bilderback in the area, as they were
all kin to each other. Any help
would be helpful. |
