Mary Richardson, 85
VISTA - Mary M. Richardson, 85, died Monday, June 11, 2001, at her home.
Born May 10, 1916, in Hallock, Minn., she lived in Vista for 40 years.
Mrs. Richardson was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Hammel, in 1954. She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Terry and Robert Bedford of Vista and Kathy Veateh of Bakersfield; sister-in-law Ruth Inglis of San Diego; grandchildren Steve Bedford, Scott Bedford, Mike Bedford, Linda Brehove, Cindy Benson and Tracy Glatt; and 15 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday, June 18, at Eternal Hills Mortuary in Oceanside with the Rev. Ryan Perkins officiating. Inurnment will follow at Eternal Hills cemetery with the Rev. Perkins officiating.
The family suggests memorial donations to the Elizabeth Hospice, 150 W. Crest St., Escondido, CA 92025.

Janet Adams, 88
ESCONDIDO - Janet S. Adams, 88, died Sunday, June 10, 2001, at her home of Alzheimer's disease.
Born Feb. 16, 1913, in Seattle, Wash., she lived in Escondido for 31 years. She was a retired teacher from Grace Lutheran School and a member of Grace Lutheran Church.
Mrs. Adams is survived by her husband, Ralph D. Adams of Escondido; son Roger Adams of Escondido; daughter Andrea Mulligan of Suwanee Ga.; and grandson Gregory Mulligan.
A memorial service is scheduled for 11 a.m. today, June 14, at Grace Lutheran Church with the Rev. Jim Young officiating.
The family suggests memorial donations to the Hispanic Ministry at Grace Lutheran Church, 643 W. 13th Ave., Escondido, CA 92025.
Cremation Services is handling arrangements.

Dayle Rushall, 52
ENCINITAS - Dayle Bradley Rushall, 52, died Thursday, June 7, 2001, of cancer.
Born May 23, 1949, in La Jolla, he was self-employed.
Mr. Rushall is survived by his mother, Roberta A. Rushall of Del Mar; father Lawrence J. Rushall of Del Mar; and brothers Bruce J. Rushall of Encinitas and sister-in-law Eileen M. Rushall of Encinitas.
A private cremation is planned.
The family suggests memorial donations to VITAS Innovative Hospice Care, 8880 Rio, Suite 950, San Diego, CA 92018 or Self Realization Fellowship, 215 West K Street, Encinitas, CA 92024.

Apolonia Perez, 81
VISTA - Apolonia Perez, 81, died Monday, June 11, 2001, at Pleasant Care Convalescent Hospital of natural causes.
She was born April 10, 1920, in Nachisttan, Zac. Mexico, on La Sinegita Ranch. She was a member of the Catholic Church.
Ms. Perez is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Gregg and Lisa Perez of Vista; grandchildren Paula, Greg, Gabriel, Sarah and Andrew; and six great-grandchildren.
A memorial service is scheduled for 3 p.m. Friday, June 15, at Eternal Hills Mortuary in Oceanside.

Helen Garza, 79
VISTA - Helen Garza, 79, died Monday, June 11, 2001.
Born Sept. 4, 1921, in Yorktown, Texas, she lived in Vista for 16 years.
Mrs. Garza is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Lupe and Celia Garza of Mira Loma; daughters and sons-in-law Dian Garza of Vista; Lillie and Andy Guerrero of Ontario; Erma and Sam Agular of San Marcos and Sylvia Haskell of San Diego; 12 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Private family services are planned.

Darlene Allabach, 93
VISTA - Darlene Feese Allabach, 93, died Wednesday, June 6, 2001, at Life Care Center of Vista.
Born April 10, 1908, in Iowa, she lived in Vista for 28 years. She was retired from California Federal Savings and Loan where she had been an escrow secretary. She was a member of the Order of the White Shrine and the Order of the Eastern Star for more than 50 years.
Mrs. Allabach was preceded in death by her husband, Charles F. Allabach, in 1990. She is survived by her sons, Dudley Duane Hutchison of Moorpark and Wallace E. Hutchison of Sun City; brother L. Maurice Feese of Hampton, Iowa; grandchildren Wendy Halderman and Celeste Hutchison; and three great-grandchildren.
A memorial service is scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday, June 16, at United Methodist Church of Vista with the Rev. Ken Johnstone officiating. Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 18, at Eternal Hills Memorial Park. A private cremation is planned.
The family suggests memorial donations to the American Heart Association, 3640 Fifth Ave., San Diego, CA 92103.

Dr. Raymond R. Halik
Dr. Raymond Halik was a resident of New Providence, N.J. for over 30 years before moving with his wife to Carlsbad, in 1999. Dr. Halik died on 6/13/2001 at the age of 84, after a brief bout with pancreatic cancer. He was born on a farm in Kilkenny, Minnesota, the youngest of six children. He graduated B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Minnesota with honors including membership in the honor societies: Tau Beta Pi and Phi Lamda Epsilon. His graduate work at Carnegie Mellon earned him a Ph.D. degree in 1948.
He spent almost 40 years in the chemical and petroleum industries before retiring as a "consulting engineer" from Mobil Oil Co in 1981. During this time he was active (including officer positions) in many technical societies (National Society of Professional Engineers, American Chemical Society, American Institute of Chemical Engineers) as well as several civic and religious organizations. More recently, he has been an active member of the Knights of Columbus, Summit Old Guard, and the American Red Cross. He is the holder of 17 patents and has been listed in "American Men and Women of Science."
He is survived by his loving wife, Elaine, two sons, Raymond and David, one daughter, Susan Calvert and four grandchildren, Jamie, Carolyn, Rebecca and Stephen. He and his wife just celebrated their 56th anniversary.
Funeral services will be held at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Carlsbad on 6/15/2001 at 2 p.m. A private interment will follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the sender's favorite charity.

Betty Sieminski, 76
SUN CITY - Betty R. Sieminski, 76, died Tuesday, June 12, 2001, at Menifee Valley Medical Center in Sun City.
Born Feb. 10, 1925, in Russellville, Ark., she lived in Sun City for four months. She worked for Boys Market in Gardena as a grocery clerk for 25 years.
Mrs. Sieminski is survived by her daughters Linda Dolman of Frisco, Texas, Marilyn Harris of Aurora, Colo., LaNette Norris of Rosamond and Twyla Papp of Sun City; brothers Max Dixon of Eufaula, Okla., and Zed Dixon of Prairie Grove, Ark.; sister Dixie Maupin of Spokane, Wash.; 14 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service and burial is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. today, June 15, at Menifee Valley Memorial Park.

Beulah Mainhurst, 77
MURRIETA - Beulah Mae Guyer Mainhurst died Wednesday, June 6, 2001, at Rancho Springs Medical Center of a myocardial infarction.
Born March 17, 1924, in Indianapolis, Ind., she lived in Murrieta for 14 years. She worked for Hunter Corp. for 10 years as a secretary.
Mrs. Mainhurst is survived by her husband, Richard of Temecula; daughter Diane Anderson of Temecula and grandson Jake Anderson of Temecula.
A memorial service is scheduled for 3 p.m. Saturday, June 16, at the New Community Lutheran Church in Temecula.

Joyce Hazlewood, 73
SUN CITY - Joyce Eugenia Hazlewood, 73, died Wednesday, June 13, 2001, at Menifee Valley Medical Center of complications of emphysema.
Born April 19, 1928, in Lewiston, Idaho, she lived in Sun City for 15 years and Long Beach for about 50 years. She was a homemaker and graduated from Poly High School in Long Beach. She enjoyed gardening, computer games and the Internet.
Mrs. Hazlewood was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Bob Hazlewood. She is survived by her son, Dan Hazlewood of Volcano, Hawaii; and daughter Marlene Hazlewood of Long Beach.
No formal services are planned. Interment will be in Riverside National cemetery in Riverside.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to the Hospice of the Valley, 28127 Bradley Road, Sun City, CA 92586.

Leonard Herbert, 80
CARLSBAD - Leonard Eugene Herbert, 80, died Friday, June 1, 2001, at his home of a stroke.
Born Sept. 30, 1920, in Brooklyn, N.Y., he lived in Carlsbad for 1 1/2 years and previously in Anaheim and Irvine. He was a salesman for Kilmer, Wagner, Wise Paper Co. and Blower Paper Company. He retired in 1993. He served in the U.S. Army in the 79th division during World War II.
Mr. Herbert is survived by his wife of 53 years, Margaret Herbert of Carlsbad; son and daughter-in-law Paul and Marsha Herbert of Yorba Linda; daughters and son-in-law Kim Bess, Jan and Paul Doyle and Eileen Kelly Herbert of Edmonds, Wash.; brothers and sisters-in-law Paul Herbert of Chula Vista, Thomas and Laura Herbert of Toms River, N.Y., Gordon and Margaret Ross of Albuquerque, N.M.; sisters and brother-in-law Margaret Trotter of Costa Mesa and Gay and James Donart of Temecula; and grandchildren Ross Eakins, Kevin Bess, Corey Bess, Lindsay Kampff, Cameron Kampff, Fauna Doyle, Kitzen Doyle and Quila Doyle.
A memorial service is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. Saturday, June 23, at the Episcopal Church of the Blessed Sacrament with the Rev. Canon and Dr. Charles W. Sacquety Jr. officiating.
The family suggests memorial donations to the Children's Asthma Program, Scamp Camp, American Lung Association, 2750 Fourth Ave., San Diego, CA 92103.

Linda Hunter-Moore, 52
Linda Hunter-Moore, 52, died Saturday, June 2, 2001, at Stanford Hospital in San Jose.
Born Sept. 6, 1948, in Lawrenceberg, Tenn., she lived in Escondido most of her life.
Mrs. Hunter-Moore was preceded in death by her father, Hollis Hunter, and brother Roy Hunter. She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Tom; sons Christopher, 26, and Steven, 23; mother Ruth Randquist; brothers Robert and Richard Hunter of Escondido, Charles of San Jose and Russell Hunter; sisters Debbie Kreglow of Temecula and Nellie Morioka of San Jose.
A memorial celebration was held at her home in San Jose.

Alexander Mihalkovitz, 66
SUN CITY - Alexander Edward Mihalkovitz, 66, died Saturday, June 9, 2001, at his home of cancer.
Born June 17, 1934, in Elizabeth, N.J., he lived in Sun City for two years and Menifee for eight years. He worked as a machinist for 46 years and most recently for DVI Guidant in Temecula. He was known as "Big Al" to his friends. He enjoyed reading, golf, deep sea fishing and camping. He had served in the U.S. Army National Guard Reserve.
Mr. Mihalkovitz is survived by his wife, Ruth Mihalkovitz of Sun City; sons Alex Mihalkovitz of San Bernardino, Mark Mihalkovitz of Lake Hurst, N.J., and Kirk Mihalkovitz of Costa Mesa; daughters Susan Sanford of Lakewood, Diane Reves of Newport News, Va., and Janet Mihalkovitz of Point Pleasant Beach, N.J.; brother Richard Mihalkovitz of Bayville, N.J.; sister Marilyn Hemery of New York City; and six grandchildren.
Visitation was held from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Monday, June 11, at Miller-Jones Mortuary in Perris. Services followed at noon at St. Vincent Ferrer Catholic Church with the Rev. Gerry McGuinness officiating.
The family suggests memorial donations to the American Cancer Society, 1240 Palmyrita Ave., Riverside, CA 92507.

Harley Reinbold, 80
SUN CITY - Harley George Reinbold, 80, died Thursday, June 7, 2001, at Menifee Valley Medical Center.
Born July 12, 1920, in Vicksburg, Mich., he lived in Sun City for 11 years. He had been a machinist for 40 years at Aable Machine Company in National City. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II onboard the USS North Hampton, stationed in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. He enjoyed reading, country-western music, playing the guitar, hiking and traveling. He was a deacon in the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Mr. Reinbold was preceded in death by his son, Phillip Reinbold. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Dora Reinbold of Sun City; sons Dennis Reinbold of Detour, Mich., Edward Reinbold of Washington, Gary Reinbold of Eagle, Idaho, and George Reinbold of St. Marie, Mich.; stepdaughters Diane Dieckmeyer of Riverside and Celinda Mulder of Riverside; stepson David Getner of San Diego; 14 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 13, at Miller Jones Mortuary Sun City. Interment will follow at 2:15 p.m. at Riverside National cemetery at staging area 2.

Linda Hunter-Moore, 52, died Saturday, June 2, 2001, at Stanford Hospital in San Jose.

Richard McHenry, 77
VISTA - Richard J. McHenry, 77, died Saturday, June 9, 2001, at his home.
Born Oct. 20, 1923, in Wheelersburg, Ohio, he lived in Vista for six years and Palm Desert for 30 years. He had been an electrical engineer for Brown & Root, Inc. for 15 years. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Mr. McHenry is survived by his 101-year old mother, Zelma McHenry of Mountain Home, Ark.; wife, Helen A. McHenry of Vista; brothers Howard McHenry and Emil McHenry, both of Wheelersburg; and sisters Catherine Carney of Orlando, Fla., Louvinda Stanley of Wheelersburg, Virginia Steed of Mountain Home, Shirley Chick of Mountain Home and Carolyn Herel of Jupiter, Fla.
A graveside service is scheduled for noon Wednesday, June 13, at Eternal Hills Memorial Park in Oceanside.
