SAN MARCOS - Joseph Anthony Rinaldi, 91, died Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2000, in Oceanside.
Born Nov. 10, 1909, he lived in San Marcos for 10 years. He did maintenance for the city of Scarsdale, N.Y. for 20 years.
Mr. Rinaldi is survived by his wife of 64 years, Josephine Rinaldi of San Marcos; son Richard Rinaldi of the Caribbean; daughter Jo Gaetani of San Marcos; sisters Pauline LeGrant and Carmela Furlong, both of Florida; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 29, at Allen Bros. Mortuary, San Marcos Chapel, with the Rev. Sam Brumit of the Palomar Christian Church officiating. A private interment is planned.

Norman Allor, 76
FALLBROOK - Norman Andrew Allor, 76, died Sunday, Dec. 24, 2000, of Alzheimer's disease.
Born Dec. 20, 1924, in Los Angeles, he lived in Fallbrook for 17 years and in Gooding, Idaho for eight years. He served in the U.S. military in the European Theater during World War II and worked in construction, building many custom homes. He enjoyed bowling, Little League baseball and flying.
Mr. Allor is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Stacie and Steve Ballard of Gooding; sons and daughter-in-law Derek and Peggy Allor and Mark Allor, all of Fallbrook; grandchildren Travis, Ryan, Jessica and Juda; great-grandchildren Matthew, Liam and Morgan; and mother-in-law Celia "Granny" Maynard of San Jacinto.
A graveside service will take place at 2:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 12, at Riverside National Cemetery, Staging Area 3.

SUN CITY - Miriam Elizabeth Sleeth, 78, died Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2000, of congestive heart failure, at her home.
Born Sept. 27, 1922, in Norwood, Mass., she lived in Sun City for 10 years. She was an administrative assistant for First National Mortgage Co. in Covina for three years and enjoyed traveling, animals, entertaining friends and community activities.
Mrs. Sleeth is survived by her sons Kurt Fisher of Costa Mesa and Nick Sleeth of Huntington Beach; daughter Diane Lengyel of Monroe, Wash.; sister Janet Covert of Michigan; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 2:01 p.m. today, Dec. 29, at Riverside National Cemetery, Staging Area 5.

MURRIETA - Edward Oehler, 77, died Monday, Dec. 25, 2000, of cancer, at his home.
Born Aug. 2, 1923, in New York City, he lived in Murrieta for four years. He worked for Cypress Insurance before retiring.
Mr. Oehler is survived by his wife of 19 years, Betty Oehler of Murrieta; daughter Karen Gibbs of Vancouver, Wash.; and four grandchildren.

George Duke, 85
SUN CITY - George J. Duke, 85, died Monday, Dec. 25, 2000, at Menifee Valley Medical Center.
Born July 13, 1915, in Bellingham, Wash., he lived in Sun City for eight years. He worked for Nelbro Packing Co. before retiring in 1985. He enjoyed golfing, home gardening and cooking and was a member of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church in Sun City.
Mr. Duke is survived by his wife, Alice Duke of Sun City; daughters Lou Ann Rawls of San Juan Capistrano and Sharon Busony of LaConner, Wash.; brother Robert Duke of Santa Barbara; sister Susie Evich of Seattle; and two grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 30, at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church in Sun City. A private cremation is planned.

SUN CITY - Georgia Hazel Willard, 83, died Sunday, Dec. 24, 2000, of cancer, at her home.
Born Dec. 13, 1917, in Oklahoma, Iowa, she lived in Sun City for four years. She was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing, bridge, golfing and volunteer work. She was a member of the hospital auxiliary in Spencer, Iowa, and served as Sharp Hospital Coordinator for the Red Cross Bloodmobile for eight years. She was a member of the First Christian Church Women's Circle in Iowa and the Murrieta United Methodist Senior group.
Mrs. Willard is survived by her husband, Dwight Willard of Sun City; sons and daughter-in-law Stephen and Marianne Willard of Tarzana and Lynn Willard of San Diego; sisters and brother-in-law Mildred Carson of Marshalltown, Iowa, and Patricia and Wayne Grabenbauer of Beaufort, S.C.; grandsons Jeffrey Willard of Tarzana and Bradley Willard of Valley View; and great-grandson Stephen Willard II of Tarzana.

TEMECULA - Charles Bernard Wigderson, 77, died Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2000, of congestive heart failure, at Fountain Valley Hospital.
Born Oct. 6, 1923, in Winthrop, Mass., he lived in Temecula for four years. He was a self-employed automobile dealer for 32 years and served in the U.S. Army Air Corps from 1941 to 1945, receiving a Good Conduct Medal, a Victory Medal and an American Theater Campaign Ribbon. He enjoyed traveling, watching sports and spending time with his family.
Mr. Wigderson is survived by his wife of 55 years, Anna Wigderson of Temecula; daughter Rhonda Howlind of Laguna Hills; sons Frank Wigderson of Temecula, Leslie Wigderson of Long Beach and Steve Wigderson of Rancho Santa Margarita; sister Elaine Strain of New Hampshire; eight grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.

ANZA - Margaret Noreen Hallett, 57, died Sunday, Dec. 24, 2000, of lung cancer, at Bonita Subacute Hospital in San Dimas.
Born May 16, 1943, in Rochester, N.Y., she lived in Anza for one year. She was a homemaker for 30 years.
Mrs. Hallett is survived by her sons, Daniel Hallett of West Covina and Darin Hallett of Chino; daughter Deborah Shaw of Anza; sisters Willma Brown and Josephine Vibaras, both of Rochester, and Francis Cassidy of Gresham, Ore.; brother Thomas Kretovic of Apopka, Fla.; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Born Nov. 1, 1926, in Dallas, he lived in Escondido. He worked for the U.S. government civil service before retiring in 1984.

Marvin Nordahl, 80
ESCONDIDO - Marvin Lee Nordahl, 80, died Monday, Dec. 25, 2000, at his home.
Born Sept. 13, 1920, in Columbus, Mont., he lived in Escondido for four years and in San Jose and Castro Valley area for 66 years. He was a truck driver for Lone Star Industries for 30 years and a captain in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He was a bridge player and a piano player who wrote compositions.
Mr. Nordahl was preceded in death by his wife, June Anita Nordahl, on Jan. 22, 2000. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Lee Marvin and Peggy Nordahl of Valley Springs; daughters and sons-in-law Wendy J. and Rudy DeVeau of Menifee and Paula D. and John Chianis of Escondido; brother and sister-in-law Raymond and Rita Nordahl of San Jose; sister and brother-in-law Winnifred and Harold Davidson of Morgantown, W.Va.; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

LAKE SAN MARCOS - Barbara Jean Morris, 86, died Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2000, at Orange County Convalescent Home.
Born Nov. 15, 1914, in Norwich, Conn., she lived in Lake San Marcos. She was a homemaker for 39 years and a charter member of Meadowlark Community Church in San Marcos.
Mrs. Morris was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Morris, in 1987. She is survived by her stepson and daughter-in-law, Robert and Marcia Morris of Dallas; brother and sister-in-law Gordon and Betty Dawber of Garden Grove; niece Wendy Lee Dawber of Garden Grove; nephews Jeff Dawber of Apple Valley, Mich., and Brad Dawber of Swall Meadows; and four grandchildren.

ESCONDIDO - Maxine Elizabeth Larson, 88, died Thursday, Dec. 28, 2000, in Escondido.
Born Aug. 7, 1912, in Ashland, Neb., she lived in Taft for 35 years and in Escondido for five months. She was a sales clerk for JC Penney's for 10 years and a member of Elks Emblem Club for 35 years. She was a member of the Senior Citizens Club in Taft for 30 years.
Mrs. Larson was preceded in death by her son, Chester Larson, in 1969; and her husband, Clifford Larson, in 1984. She is survived by her son and daughters-in-law, Max and Laura Larson of Escondido and Patricia Larson of Kelseyville; grandchildren Bret Larson, Shelly Larson, Mark Larson and Steven Larson; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Born Sept. 12, 1930, in Carlsbad, she lived in Vista for her entire life. She was a counselor at Escondido High School and Palomar College before retiring in June.
Mrs. Flores was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Flores, on Feb. 15, 1993. Born June 1, 1931, in Fallbrook, he lived in Escondido. He was a security guard for Construction Protective Service and served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War.
Mr. Rivers is survived by his son, John Mike Rivers of Escondido; daughter JoAnn Elizabeth Rivers of El Cajon; sisters Gertrude Rivers, Phyllis Rivers and Elizabeth Trujillo, all of Pala; and three grandchildren.
