Sawyer's Bar Catholic Cemetery is located on a small rise next to the old Catholic Church. Entering Sawyer's Bar is like entering a land out of time. As you drive through this small community you will find no businesses. There is a small Post Office on your left and a Forest Service station on your right. Pass both of these and continue on the winding road. Just before you reach the school you will see a wooden sign on the right for the Catholic Cemetery. Park at the school and walk the short distance up the hill to the cemetery. There a many unmarked graves here, most only appearing as mounded earth. We have been told that the church removed many of the wooden markers and we are trying to locate them and records of others buried here.
