Albert Fotheringham, 84
POLLOCK PINES - Albert O. Fotheringham, 84, died Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2000.
Born March 20, 1916, in Toronto, he lived in Pollock Pines and had lived in Vista for 65 years.
Mr. Fotheringham is survived by his wife, Dorothy Fotheringham of Pollock Pines; daughters Anne Blust of Vista and Leslie Keene of Placerville; brother Joseph Fotheringham of Vista; sister Orma McComb of San Marcos; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
No service was held at the request of the deceased.
Chapel of the Pines Funeral Home in Placerville handled arrangements.

Salvador Hernandez, 87
SAN MARCOS - Salvador Hernandez, 87, died Friday, Oct. 27, 2000, in San Marcos.
Born Feb. 14, 1913, in Mexico, he lived in San Marcos for 30 years. He worked for San Luis Rey Downs and was a member of the San Marcos Catholic Church.
Mr. Hernandez was preceded in death by his wife, Maria de Jesus Hernandez, in 1995. He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Cruz and Margarita Hernandez and Arturo and Luz Hernandez, all of Corona, and Jorge and Blanca Hernandez of San Marcos; daughters and sons-in-law Abigail and Francisco Heredia of Corona and Maria-Elena and Antonio Contreras and Graciela and Jose Amador, all of San Marcos; 20 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m., with a rosary recited at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 2, at Eternal Hills Mortuary, with Deacon Modesto Perez officiating. A Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 3, at St. Mark's Catholic Church, with the Rev. George Dunkley officiating. Interment will follow at Eternal Hills Memorial Park.
Eternal Hills Mortuary is handling arrangements.

Chester Viseth, 80
ESCONDIDO - Chester Viseth, 80, died Thursday, Oct. 26, 2000, at his home.
Born Dec. 30, 1919, in Mayville, N.D., he lived in Escondido for 34 years. He graduated from Mayville High School and served in the U.S. Army Air Corps with the 464th Bombardment Group H, 779th Bombardment Squadron H, earning four Air Medals during 35 missions in the Mediterranean Theatre. He owned and operated an auto body shop and worked on the family farm before retiring in 1966.
Mr. Viseth was preceded in death by his mother, Annie Viseth; father Clarence Viseth; and brother Parnell Viseth. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Avis Viseth; son Cloydell Viseth of Escondido; daughter and son-in-law Ann and Jim Haupt of Fallbrook and Bradley and Diane Viseth of Escondido; brother and sister-in-law Jerome and Dorothy Viseth of Kent, Wash.; grandchildren Jason, Kevin, Dean, Shona, Melissa, Wesley, Travis and Jennifer; and great-grandchildren Jacob, Tyler, Dillon and Curtis.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 9, at Fort Rosecrans National cemetery in Point Loma, with full military honors.
The family suggests memorial donations to Elizabeth Hospice, 150 W. Crest St., Escondido, CA 92025.

Francis Little, 80
HUNTINGTON BEACH - Francis Clarence Little, 80, died Friday, Oct. 27, 2000, at Kaiser Hospital, Anaheim Hills.
Born July 9, 1920, in Yerington, Nev., he lived in Huntington Beach for one years and had lived in San Diego County for three years. He was a construction supervisor for Turner Engineering for 50 years and served in the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II.
Mr. Little is survived by his sons, James Little of Huntington Beach, Harry Little of Oceanside and Stephen Little of Sequine, Texas; daughter Patricia Anderson of Fremont; brother Norman Little of Palm Desert; sisters Wanda Martin of Hesperia and Iris Roeder of Phoenix; 13 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. today, Nov. 1, at Allen Bros. Mortuary, Vista Chapel, with the Rev. Roger H. Friend and VFW Post 7041 officiating. A private cremation is planned with burial to take place at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial cemetery in Boulder City, Nev.
The family suggests memorial donations to a charity of choice.

Clara Robinson, 87
SAN MARCOS - Clara Ruth Robinson, 87, died Sunday, Oct. 29, 2000, at her home.
Born Jan. 7, 1913, in Carlton, Ore., she lived in San Marcos for 12 years. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Robinson is survived by her daughter, JoAnn Rosendo of Palm Springs and Juanita Lunday of Hacienda Heights; 13 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
No formal service is planned. A private cremation will take place with cremains to be scattered at sea.
Allen Bros. Mortuary, Vista Chapel, is handling arrangements.

Mary Innes
ESCONDIDO - Mary Philomena Innes died Monday, Oct. 30, 2000, in Escondido.
Born March 3, 1945, in Whitburn, Scotland, she lived in Escondido for 25 years. She was a nurse for Palomar Medical Center and several doctors for 35 years.
Mrs. Innes is survived by her daughters, Angela Innes Claypool and Leslie Bravo, both of Chula Vista; and brothers John Carrigan and Tommy Carrigan of Scotland.
Visitation and viewing will be held from 4 to 8 p.m., with a rosary recited at 7 p.m., today, Nov. 1, at McLeod Mortuary Chapel. A funeral service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 2, at the mortuary chapel. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park.

Wanda Sievert, 54
ESCONDIDO - Wanda D. Sievert, 54, died Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2000, in Escondido.
Born Nov. 16, 1945, in Big Stone Gap, Va., she lived in Escondido for eight years. She was a secretary for San Diego County.
Mrs. Sievert is survived by her husband, Dan Sievert of Escondido; mother Eva Dixon of Escondido; father Paul Dixon of Zephyr Hills, Fla.; sons Kirk Sievert of Escondido and Mark Sievert of Denver; daughter Stacy Olson of Orange Park, Fla.; brother Ron Dixon of Salem, Ore.; and two grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 4, at McLeod Mortuary Chapel, with the Rev. Paul Kugler officiating. A private cremation is planned.

Mary Wilson, 65
SAN MARCOS - Mary T. Wilson, 65, died Monday, Oct. 30, 2000, in San Marcos.
Born June 3, 1935, in Nambe Pueblo, N.M., she lived in San Marcos for four months. She did house maintenance for 11 years, working last at Silvergate Retirement Home.
Ms. Wilson is survived by her sons, Jose Wilson of Lakewood and Robert Gonzales of Vista; daughters Mary Stokey of San Marcos and Yolanda Palomino of La Puente; brother ray Garcia of La Puente; sisters Clara Dalton of Bell Gardens, Mary Anaya of Santa Fe, N.M., Pita Moya of Nambe Pueblo and Frances Enriquez of Inglewood; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be held from 10 a.m. to noon today, Nov. 1, at Alhiser-Comer Mortuary. A funeral service will follow at noon at the mortuary, with the Rev. Dale Young officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hills Memorial Park.

Harold Turner, 64
ESCONDIDO - Harold Wayne Turner, 64, died Saturday, Oct. 28, 2000, at his home.
Born Sept. 19, 1936, in Britton, Texas, he lived in Escondido for 41 years. He worked for the city of Escondido before retiring in December 1995. He was a chief petty officer in the U.S. Navy, serving in Vietnam before retiring in 1974. He was a member of the Whirlaways Square Dance Club.
Mr. Turner was preceded in death by his father, Fred Walter Turner, in 1953. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Shirley Rae Turner of Escondido; mother Winnie Turner Coble of Mansfield, Texas; son and daughter-in-law Walter and Tonya Turner of Escondido; daughters and sons-in-law Kathryn and Arthur Arsenault, Manuel Contreras and Sarah and Steven McSpadden, all of Escondido and Stacey Turner of Jamul; sisters and brothers-in-law Doris and Roy Seeton, Kathryn and Jesse Wayne Howard, Shirley Ann and Fred Sweeney and Rose Marie and Richard Frashier, all of Mansfield, Texas; and grandchildren Stephanie, Nicholas, Molly, Shannon, Matthew, Kimberly, Jessica, Tawsea, Dario, Kyle, Luis, Antonio and Yocelyn. Viewing will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. today, Nov. 1, at Alhiser-Comer Mortuary. A funeral service is scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 2, at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Escondido, with the Rev. Michael Ecklekamp officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park.

Wallace Markey, 79
GRASS VALLEY - Wallace S. Markey, 79, died Saturday, Oct. 21, 2000, in Grass Valley.
Born Oct. 9, 1921, in Brashear, Mo., he lived in Grass Valley for five months. He graduated from Chaffey High School in Ontario and worked for Lockheed Aircraft Corp. He served aboard the USS LSM 472 in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was a plumber for Bruce Allyn Plumbing and Ray May Plumbing before retiring in 1975. He was a member of the Plumbers and Steamfitters Union No. 398. He enjoyed fishing and gardening.
Mr. Markey was preceded in death by his mother and father, Reba Forquer Markey and Thomas E. Markey; and sisters Marjorie Cope and Lucille Miller. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Velora E. Markey of Grass Valley; son Larry David Markey; brothers Kenneth Markey of Lancaster and Marvin Markey of Hemet; and grandchildren Jeff Markey of Alexandria, Va., Jennifer Markey of Pleasanton, Jilliann Markey of Moraga, Joseph Markey of Rohnert Park, Brianna Anthony of Grass Valley, Ron Anthony of Claremont and Scott Anthony of Murrieta.
A private graveside service was held Wednesday, Oct. 25, at Sierra Memorial Lawn Cemetery. Burial followed.
The family suggests memorial donations to Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital Foundation, PO Box 1029, Grass Valley, CA 95945.

Sean Nava, 33
VALLEY CENTER - Sean A. Nava, 33, died Saturday, Oct. 28, 2000, in Escondido.
Born April 8, 1967, in West Covina, he lived in Valley Center. He was a California Highway Patrol officer and served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of St. Stephen's Catholic Church in Valley Center.
Mr. Nava is survived by his wife of 10 years, Melanie Nava of Valley Center; mother Rose Radkiewicz; son Patrick Nava of Valley Center; daughter Alexandria Nava of Valley Center; sisters Theresa Muniz of Oregon, Rochelle Page of Oceanside and Loretta Nava of Riverside.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m., with a rosary recited at 7 p.m., today, Nov. 1, at Eternal Hills Mortuary. A Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 2, at Mission San Luis Rey in Oceanside. Burial will follow at Riverside National Cemetery.

Robert Simpson, 85
SAN DIEGO - Robert A. Simpson, 85, died Thursday, Oct. 26, 2000, of heart failure, in San Diego.
Born Feb. 10, 1915, in Canada, he lived in San Diego. He worked in sales for 35 years and served in the U.S. Army.
Mr. Simpson is survived by his companion, Bette Keena of Rancho Bernardo; and brother Victor Simpson of Madison Heights, Mich.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 3, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in San Diego.

John Donnelly, 66
ENCINITAS - John Roland Donnelly Sr., 66, died Saturday, Oct. 28, 2000, of cancer, at his home.
Born Jan. 2, 1934, in Rapid City, S.D., he lived in Encinitas for 27 years. He graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 1956, with a degree in business administration and was executive vice president, chief financial officer for General Automation in Irvine before retiring.
Mr. Donnelly was preceded in death by his father and mother, Charles and Elma Donnelly. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Corrine Donnelly; daughters Diane Donnelly of Indianapolis and Tracy Donnelly of Oceanside; son and daughter-in-law John R. Jr. and Leslie Donnelly of Oceanside; sisters Joan Lampert and Nancy Brady, both of Rapid City; brother Charles Donnelly of Rapid City; grandchildren Cassandra and Megan Donnelly of Oceanside; and 19 nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. today, Nov. 1, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Encinitas, with the Rev. Harnet officiating. A closed casket visitation will take place at 10:15 a.m. before the service, followed by a rosary recitation at 10:45 a.m.

William Mansir, 82
RAMONA - William W. Mansir, 82, died Thursday, Oct. 19, 2000.
Born Nov. 16, 1917, in Rosario, Mexico, he lived in Ramona for the past 1 years and had lived in Poway. He attended Freemont Elementary School in Old Town and Point Loma High School. He worked for Convair for more than 20 years, and was a horse shoer, horse trainer and rodeo horse rider and a consultant for many veterinarians. He was a member of the Volunteer Mounted Sheriff Rangers.
Mr. Mansir is survived by his sons, William Mansir of Ramona and Kenneth Mansir of Torrance; daughters Mary Etheridge of El Cajon and Marsha Pignataro of Ramona; sister Lena Smith; brother Richard Mansir; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A memorial barbecue will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 11, at the Ramona Community Center.
The family suggests memorial donations to Children's Hospital Hematology/Oncology Unit, 3020 children's Way, San Diego, CA 92123.

Dorothy Burns, 83
FALLBROOK - Dorothy Ann Burns, 83, died Friday, Oct. 27, 2000.
Born Oct. 6, 1917, in California, she lived in Fallbrook for 25 years and had recently moved to Huntington Beach. She was a volunteer for the Angel Society and enjoyed playing bridge and dancing.
Mrs. Burns was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Burns, in July 1986. She is survived by her daughters, Julie Stephenson Lloyd and Lori Moseley; son Rob Burns; grandchildren Laura Delman, John Wright, Mark Wright, Mitchell Moseley, Natalie Moseley and Chasen Burns; and great-grandchildren Mathew and Nicholas Delman.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 10, at Christ Presbyterian Church in Huntington Beach.

Harland Finegan, 89
SUN CITY - Harland Stoddard Finegan, 89, died Sunday, Oct. 29, 2000, of heart failure at Menifee Valley Medical Center.
Born Jan. 21, 1911, in Rockland, Mass., he lived in Sun City for 12 years. He was a self-employed milkman in Buena Park for 29 years. He was a member of the Cherry Hills Country Club where he enjoyed playing golf. He was also a member of the Sun City Recreation Club and past president of the Lions Club in Buena Park.
Mr. Finegan is survived by his wife of 67 years, Signa Finegan, of Sun City; son, Larry Finegan, of San Luis Obispo; daughters Lois Vick of Yorba Linda, Jean Hanchett of Irvine and Joan Witt of Yorba Linda; sister, Eleanor Bowman, of Lock Haven, Pa.; 12 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 4, at Miller-Jones Mortuary. His cremains will be scattered at sea.

James Blew, 85
SUN CITY - James Vernon Blew, 85, died Monday, Oct. 30, 2000, at his home.
Born Feb. 12, 1915, in Ohio, he lived in Sun City for two years. He was an electrical inspector for the city of San Diego before retiring in 1980.
Mr. Blew is survived by his niece, Mindy Null, of Russell Springs, Ky.
A graveside service will be held at Maple Grove cemetery in Mechanicsburg, Ohio. Interment will follow.
