RAMONA - Mary K. Boyle, 61, died Sunday, May 14, 2000, at a local hospital.
Born June 7, 1938, in Indianapolis, Ind., she lived in Ramona for 25 years. She graduated from Grossmont High School in 1956 and was a homemaker.
Mrs. Boyle is survived by her brother, Jim Boyle of San Diego; and friends Lennie Baker and Joe Williamson, both of Ramona.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, May 22, at Ramona Neuvo Memory Gardens, with Robert Denny officiating.

ENCINITAS - Betty C. Reigel, 65, died Tuesday, May 2, of cancer.
Born Sept. 14, 1934, in Chicago, she lived in Encinitas for 52 years. She was an electronics technician and worked for Target before retiring in 1999.
Mrs. Reigel is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Debbie Reigel of Anaheim; sister Nancy Handy of Texas; and grandchildren Cody, Kevin and Nicole Reigel.
The family suggests memorial donations of a children's book to any school library.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 20, at Ocean Knoll Elementary School in Encinitas, with the Rev. Rob Ring officiating.
Donna McLean, 62
FALLBROOK - Donna M. McLean, 62, died Sunday, May 14, 2000.
Born April 3, 1938, in Los Angeles, she was an elementary teacher and did physical therapy and counseling.
Mrs. McLean is survived by her husband, Donald McLean; son Brad of San Jose; daughter Kari McLean of Santa Cruz; and brother Robert Berry of Wrightwood.

Jennette Vix, 82
FALLBROOK - Jennette Lenore "Andy" Vix, 82, died Friday, May 5, 2000, at her home.
Born April 3, 1918, in Crete, N.D., she lived in Fallbrook for 50 years. She worked for the Temecula Unified School District for 40 years and was a member of the Fallbrook United Methodist Church for 50 years. She was a member of the Methodist Bible Fellowship and of Mothers Against Drunk Driving.
Mrs. Vix was preceded in death by her daughter, Jackie Vix, in 1973. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Harry B. Vix of Fallbrook; sons Gary Vix of Fallbrook and Marlin Vix of San Luis Obispo; sister Jerri Ann Benzel of Jamestown, N.D.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 19, at the Fallbrook United Methodist Church, with Dr. Dennis Ginoza officiating. A private interment will take place at the Fallbrook Masonic Cemetery.

RANCHO BERNARDO - Robert Hugh McClintic, 85, died Thursday, May 11, 2000, in Poway.
Born Dec. 10, 1914, in Eagle Rock, he lived in Rancho Bernardo for 22 years. He worked for the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power for 41 years, retiring Sept. 30, 1977. He was a Mason for 50 years, a member of the Department of Water & Power Rifle Club, the Oaks North Travel Club and a life member of Escondido Fish and Game Club.
Mr. McClintic is survived by his wife of 60 years, Dorothy A. Herrmann of Rancho Bernardo; daughters and son-in-law Nancy and Walt Hurtienne of Huntington Beach and Susan D. Carr of Sparks, Nev.; sister-in-law Rita Hermann of Valley Center; sister and brother-in-law Eileen M. McClintic of Rancho Bernardo and George F. Herrmann of Valley Center; grandchildren Robert and Jennifer Carr of El Paso, Texas, Brett and Shelbie Hurtienne of San Diego and Danielle and Tim Waters of Moorpark; and great-grandchildren Courtney Carr and Kaitlyn Carr.
A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, May 27, at St. Bartholomew Episcopal Church in Poway, with Ned Kellogg officiating. Inurnment will follow.

SAN MARCOS - Rita D. Abelar, 91, died Monday, May 15, 2000, at a local convalescent home.
Born Feb. 13, 1909, in Sonora, Mexico, she lived in San Diego County for 20 years. She was a homemaker for 53 years and a member of the W. Los Angeles Holiness Church and the United Methodist Church of San Marcos. She was a volunteer at the Encinitas Thrift Store and the Joslyn Senior Center. She was a seamstress for celebrities and a nanny for Vincent Price.
Mrs. Abelar was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Abelar, in 1982; and her sons, Samuel Abelar and John Abelar. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, David and Norma Abelar of Santa Monica; daughters and sons-in-law Esther and Paul Abelar of San Marcos and Ruth Abelar Russell and Douglas Russell of W. Los Angeles; niece Esther and Edward Sandoval of Huntington Park; 15 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at noon Saturday, May 20, at Casa Escobar Restaurant in Marine Del Rey, with the Rev. Kenneth Ashitomi officiating. A private inurnment will take place at Inglewood Park cemetery in Inglewood.

ESCONDIDO - Meno "Frenchie" Besanson, 85, died Monday, May 15, 2000, in San Diego.
Born April 6, 1915, in Titusville, Pa., he lived in Escondido for 18 years. He was a security guard and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Mr. Besanson is survived by his wife of 28 years, Vivian L. Besanson of Escondido; sons and daughter-in-law Chris and Sandy Besanson of Ramona, Phillip Besanson of Oregon and Kenny Besanson of Pennsylvania; daughter and son-in-law Doris and David Dent of Mission Viejo; sisters Ruth Walchick of Erie, Pa., and Esther Jenkens of Oil City, Pa.; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Born Dec. 10, 1907, in San Jose, he lived in San Marcos for 27 years. He served as an officer in the Maritime Service during World War II and worked in the electrical department for the Oakland School District before retiring.
Mr. Jones is survived by his wife of 63 years, Marie E. Jones of San Marcos.
A private military service with interment will take place at Fort Rosecrans National cemetery in Point Loma. No local service is planned.
Mary Doumas, 101
SAN MARCOS - Mary Doumas, 101, died Tuesday, May 16, 2000, at Casa Vallecitos in San Marcos.
Born April 25, 1899, in Translyvania, Austro-Hungarian Empire, she lived in San Diego County since 1990. She was a furrier before retiring.
Mrs. Doumas is survived by her grandson, Speros A. Doumas II of San Clemente; granddaughters Anna Maria Wallace of Middletown, N.J., and Alexandra "Veee" Visnyei of San Marcos; and great-granddaughters Stephanie Ann Wallace, Natalie Kaye Wallace and Deanna Nicole Doumas.

Merlin Foreman, 70
POWAY - Merlin L. R. Foreman, 70, died Tuesday, May 16, 2000, at home.
Born July 4, 1929, in Manitowoc, Wis., he lived in Poway for 28 years. He was a project engineer at SEACOR, retiring in 1992, and served as a commander in the U.S. Navy, retiring in 1979. He was secretary of the board of directors for San Diego Transplant Organization and a member of the Disabled American Veterans and Grace Lutheran Church in Escondido.
Mr. Foreman is survived by his wife of 47 years, Florence E. Foreman of Poway; sons and daughter-in-law Charles Foreman of Santa Maria and Kent and Lisa Foreman of Poway; daughters and son-in-law Charlene Foreman of Escondido and Julie and Carlo Stagnero of Port Hueneme; brother James Foreman of Bandera, Texas; sister Carol Jaeger of Manitowoc, Wis.; and grandchildren Ryan and Diana Foreman, Kevin Foreman, Katie Foreman, Taryn and Enzo Stagnero, Mariah Herrick and Tyler Foreman.

Born Oct. 1, 1914, in Newark, N.J., she lived in Sun City for 27 years. She was a supervisor for Prudential Insurance in Canoga Park.
Mrs. Haller is survived by her daughter, Barbara Haller of Simi Valley; granddaughters Cynthia Holderfield of Fillmore and Deborah Jordan of Tehachapi; and three great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Stone is survived by her husband, Frank Stone of Menifee; sisters and brother-in-law Janet and Curt English of Tucson, Ariz., and Joyce Woods of Kissimmee, Fla.; and three nephews.

Born Feb. 17, 1982, in Oceanside, he lived in Escondido his entire life. He was an NJROTC at Orange Glen High School and a student at Center City High School. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Rincon Valley Ward.
Mr. Rattee is survived by his mother and stepfather, Sarah M. and Michael Thompson of Iron Mountain, Mich.; father Clifford A. Rattee of Escondido; grandparents Catherine and Frank Osborn of Escondido, Marjorie Rattee of E. Point, Mich., and Charles Rattee of Mount Clemens, Mich.; brother Wesley A. Rattee of Escondido; stepbrother Nick Thompson of Iron Mountain; sister Megan L. Rattee of Iron Mountain; and numerous uncles and aunts.
