SOLANA BEACH - Charles V. Gibbs, 83, died Tuesday, April 25, 2000, at Casa Palmera in Del Mar.
Born May 25, 1916, in Homewood, Pa., he lived in Solana Beach for nine years. He served in the U.S. Fifth Army from 1942 to 1945, leaving as a colonel.
Mr. Gibbs is survived by his wife of 58 years, June O. Gibbs of Solana Beach; sons and daughters-in-law Charles H. and Mary Gibbs of Oceanside, Fred O. and Gretchen Gibbs of Santa Cruz and Michael J. and Sue Gibbs of Temecula; daughter and son-in-law June Anne and Lee Lehmann of Temecula; and 10 grandchildren.
A private cremation is planned.

ESCONDIDO - Frank J. Crnkovic Sr., 63, died Sunday, April 30, 2000, in Escondido.
Born Aug. 16, 1936, in Joliet, Ill., he lived in Escondido for 34 years. He was a meat cutter for Lucky stores for 38 years.
Mr. Crnkovic is survived by his wife of 40 years, Joyce A. Crnkovic of Escondido; sons and daughters-in-law Frank Crnkovic Jr. of Escondido, Richard and Kim Crnkovic of Temecula and Vince and Jill Crnkovic of San Marcos; daughter and son-in-law Cathy and Bob Henriques of Vista; brothers Leon Crnkovic and Donald Crnkovic, both of Escondido, and Vincent Crnkovic of Joliet; sister Marie Belom of Joliet; grandchildren Adam Crnkovic and Amy Crnkovic, both of Temecula and Whitney Crnkovic and Shelby Crnkovic, both of San Marcos; and numerous nephews and nieces.
Viewing will be held from 4 to 8 p.m., with a rosary recited at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 4, at Alhiser-Comer Mortuary. A private cremation is planned.

Born Dec. 10, 1943, in Huntington Park, she lived in Sun City. She was a secretary for Los Angeles County.
Mrs. Hoig is survived by her stepdaughter, De De Shea of Carlsbad; brother, Hansel Knight Jr. of Manhattan Beach; sister Marge Schoonover of Lawndale; and two grandchildren.

SUN CITY - Robert William Doll, 81, died Monday, May 1, 2000, at Menifee Valley Medical Center.
Born Jan. 1, 1919, in Akron, Ohio, he lived in Sun City for 11 years. He was a self-employed machinist with Mallard Mold in South Gate for 35 years and served in the U.S. Army from 1943 to 1945. He was a member of Elks Lodge in Whittier and was a member of St. Vincent Ferrer Catholic Church.
Mr. Doll is survived by his wife, Mary Doll of Sun City; sons Edward Doll of Irvine, Jeffrey Doll of Sun City, Larry Doll of Annapolis, Md., and Michael Doll of Mira Loma; and seven grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, May 4, at Miller-Jones Mortuary & Crematory in Sun City. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, May 5, at St. Vincent Ferrer Catholic Church. Burial will follow at noon at Riverside National Cemetery.

SUN CITY - Barbara Ellen Donnelly, 74, died Saturday, April 29, 2000, at Menifee Valley Medical Center in Sun City.
Born May 24, 1925, in Seattle, she lived in Sun City for 10 years. She was a homemaker for 40 years. She was a newspaper column editor and a member of the PTA and the Serenaders RV Club. She was a volunteer for Boy Scouts of America.
Mrs. Donnelly is survived by her husband, Richard Donnelly of Sun City; sons Dale Donnelly of Huntington Beach, Patrick Donnelly of Oceanside, Russell Donnelly of Westminster and David Romero of Escondido; daughters Lynellen Romero of Escondido and Jewel Tweten-Donnelly of Westminster; sister V. Maryann Waltz of Greenbank, Wash.; and two grandchildren.

MURRIETA - Earl W. Weldon, 76, died Sunday, April 30, 2000, of an infection, at Sharp Memorial Hospital in San Diego.
Born Sept. 16, 1923, in Berkeley, he lived in Murrieta for one year. He was an editorial manager for Walt Disney Studios for 48 years and served in the U.S. Navy from 1940 to 1945 as a radioman in Pearl Harbor.
Mr. Weldon is survived by his wife, Patricia Weldon of Murrieta; son Mike Weldon of Simi Valley; daughter Pam Marsh of Murrieta; sister Dorothy Dalton of Bullhead City, Nev.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

SUN CITY - William Clarence Claunch, 81, died Monday, May 1, 2000, of cancer, at Menifee Valley Medical Center in Sun City.
Born April 25, 1919, in Douglas, Ariz., he lived in Sun City for 14 years. He was an inspector for Adel Aircraft Corp. in Burbank for 32 years and served in the U.S. Navy from 1944 to 1946.
Mr. Claunch is survived by his wife, Fidelma Claunch of Sun City; son Stephen Claunch of Moreno Valley; brother Owen Claunch of California; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

SAN BERNARDINO - Daniel Donald Keck, 77, died Sunday, May 7, 2000, at his home.
Born June 10, 1922, in Cleveland, he lived in San Bernardino for 20 years. He graduated from high school in Cleveland and attended college in California. He was a self-employed insurance broker in Riverside County and Santa Barbara County for 25 years, retiring in 1992. He served in the U.S. Army Air Force, receiving an American Theatre Ribbons and the American Defense Service Medal. He was a former member of the Moose Club.
Mr. Keck is survived by his wife, Donna Keck of San Bernardino; son Daniel J. Keck of Temecula; daughters Laura L. Hawkins of Anaheim, Lynne Alkemade of San Jose and Lisa Hawkins-Garcia of Altus, Okla.; brother James Keck of Ardsley N.Y.; and six grandchildren.

TEMECULA - Alicia M. Neddermeyer, 79, died of a stroke Monday, May 8, 2000, at her home.
Born July 6, 1920, in Havana, Cuba, she lived in Temecula for 16 years. She was the officer manager for Dr. Raymond Daple in Markham, Ill., for 20 years, retiring in 1970. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church, Calvary Chapel in Temecula and Women's Aglow Group of Temecula.
Mrs. Neddermeyer is survived by her husband, Julius Neddermeyer of Temecula; son Julius Neddermeyer of Altadena; brother Raymond Daple of Miami; and two grandchildren.

ESCONDIDO - Harvey L. Jacobsen, 83, died Saturday, May 6, 2000, of cancer, at Beverly Health Care in Escondido.
Born June 13, 1916, in Ringsted, Iowa, he lived in Escondido for 27 years. He worked at Harvey's Farm Service, a garage and service station, in Ringsted, and served as a staff sergeant in the U.S. Army. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Ringsted and the American Legion in Mesa, Ariz., for 28 years.
Mr. Jacobsen is survived by his wife of 57 years, Doris Jacobsen of Escondido; sister Lillian Claytor of Escondido; and several nephews and nieces.
Burial will take place at a future date at Fort Rosecrans National cemetery in Point Loma. A private cremation is planned.

SAN MARCOS - Villa R. Lynn, 86, died Saturday, April 29, 2000, at a local hospital.
Born July 30, 1913, in Caro, Mich., she lived in San Marcos for 23 years. She was an assembler for Kaag Manufacturing for 25 years and a volunteer for culture Caravan in Vista since 1978, serving as motor coach escort for the Culture Caravan trips. She received a certificate of appreciation from the city of Vista, director of Parks & Community Services for her volunteer service.
Ms. Lynn is survived by her niece, Helen Berndt of Parker, Colo.; adopted grandson Eric Berndt of Parker; and friend Betty Traube of Cape Cod, Mass.
A private cremation with a private interment will be held at Pacific Crest cemetery in Redondo Beach.
