ESCONDIDO - Juanita Kirchner, 93, died Monday, March 27, 2000, at Redwood Terrace.
Born Aug. 3, 1906, in Los Angeles, she lived in Escondido for 12 years. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Kirchner was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Kirchner, in 1980. She is survived by her son, Robert Kirchner of Escondido; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, March 31, at Alhiser-Comer Mortuary Chapel, with the Rev. Ed Wright officiating. A private burial will take place at Riverside National Cemetery.

John Perez, 87
ESCONDIDO - John Encanacion Perez, 87, died Monday, March 27, 2000, in Vista.
Born May 4, 1912, in Las Cruces, N.M., he lived in Escondido for three years. He was a rancher at Wonder Y Ranch, retiring in 1979.
Mr. Perez was preceded in death by his son, Frank Perez, in 1988; daughter Jenny Villalobos, in 1999; and brother Joe Perez. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Mary Mae Perez of Escondido; sons Joseph Perez of Valley Center and David Perez and Robert Perez, both of Escondido; daughters Almida Villalobos and Rita Wilson, both of Escondido, and Rachel Hernandez of Valley Center; sister Beatrice Munoz of Santa Ana; 27 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation and viewing will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, March 31, at Cathedral of the Valley Foursquare Church in Escondido. A funeral will follow at 1 p.m., with the Revs. Tom Villalobos and Lupe Hernandez officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park.

Vivian Dennis, 68
VISTA - Vivian Lee Dennis, 68, died Tuesday, March 21, 2000, of brain cancer, at her home.
Born May 24, 1931, in Vienna, Ill., she lived in Vista for 41 years. She was a cake decorator and instructor for Wilton Enterprises and decorated cakes for Alpha Beta and Lucky supermarkets. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Vista and taught Sunday school for more than 40 years.
Mrs. Dennis is survived by her husband of 50 years, Robert Boyce of Vista; sons Kerley Dennis of Ontario, Bruce Dennis of Fortaleza, Brazil, Eric Dennis of Vista and John Dennis of Santa Clarita; daughters Roberta Dennis Golike of Seattle and Rene Dennis England of Oceanside; brother Schuyler Lee Kerley III of Santa Clarita; sister Maxine Sieleman of Des Moines, Iowa; and 21 grandchildren.
Viewing will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. today, March 30, at Eternal Hills Mortuary. A funeral service is scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday, March 31, at Eternal Hills Mortuary, with Dr. Potter officiating. A graveside service and burial will follow at 11:30 a.m.

LA JOLLA - Ermal Bryan, 49, died Tuesday, March 21, 2000, at Scripps Green Hospital in La Jolla.
Born Dec. 24, 1950, in Renton, Wash., she lived in Carlsbad for 13 years. She was a private duty nurse in North County for several years.
Ms. Bryan is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Tanya and James Shlosman of Oceanside; brothers Craig Connell of Minnesota and Tom Connell of Dayton, Ohio; and sister Betsy Connell of Orange County.

PECHANGA INDIAN RESERVATION - Angela Christina Burgess, 89, died Tuesday, March 21, 2000, of congestive heart failure, in Murrieta.
Born Oct. 9, 1910, in Philadelphia, she lived on Pechanga Indian Reservation for 20 years. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Burgess was preceded in death by her husband, William Henry Burgess Jr., in 1990. She is survived by her son, Donald R. Burgess of Pechanga; daughter Carol Christine Shrock of Palo Cedro; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Visitation and viewing were held from 4 p.m. throughout the night, with a rosary recited at 6 p.m., Tuesday, March 27, at St. Michael's Catholic Church on the Pechanga Indian Reservation. A Mass was recited at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 28, at St. Michael's Catholic Church, with the Rev. Paul Marconi officiating. Interment followed at Pechanga Indian Cemetery.

FALLBROOK - Robert L. Kuster, 78, died Wednesday, March 22, 2000, in Vista.
Born Nov. 28, 1921, in Adair, Iowa, he lived in Fallbrook for 20 years. He was the owner of a construction company for 30 years and president of the Via Loma Road Association.
Mr. Kuster is survived by his wife of 59 years, Wilma M. Kuster of Fallbrook; nephews J. D. Kuster, John Kuster and Peter Kuster; nieces Margaret Kuster, Chris Schmidt, Jeanne Worth, Joni Rees and Shannon Davis.
A memorial service was held Sunday, March 26, at the United Methodist Church of Fallbrook, with Dr. Dennis Y. Ginoza officiating.

Mrs. Sepulveda is survived by her husband of 42 years, Frank Sepulveda of Vista; daughters Olga R. Walden of Las Vegas and Ofelia M. Childs of Salt Lake City; stepdaughters Frances Mendes of Vista, Joann McReynolds of Valley Springs and Dotsy Lopez of Bakersfield; foster daughter Frances Perez of San Marcos; sister Lupe Sanchez; 18 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Hugh Dunning, 35
ROYAL OAK, Mich. - Hugh Michael Dunning, 35, died Sunday, March 19, 2000, at Beaumont Medical Center in Royal Oak.
Born Feb. 17, 1965, in Arcadia, he attended Miller School, Del Dios Middle School and Escondido High School. He served in the U.S. Air Force in Germany and was a flight attendant for Pro Air Lines out of Detroit.
Mr. Dunning is survived by his mother, Sheila Phillips of Pocatello, Idaho; father Hugh H. Dunning of Escondido; brother Dr. David Phillips of Michigan; and sister Anita Tollerude of Colorado.
A Mass was celebrated at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, with the Rev. Anthony DiLoreto as celebrant. Interment followed at Mountain View cemetery in Pocatello.
Anita De Leo, 80
OCEANSIDE - Anita M. De Leo, 80, died Friday, March 24, 2000, of congestive heart failure, at Tri-City Medical Center.
Born Feb. 15, 1920, in Aida, Okla., she lived in Oceanside for 26 years. She was retired from working for Farberware. She worked as a welder in the shipyards during World War II.
Mrs. De Leo is survived by her son, Anthony Peter De Leo of Lancaster; daughter Bunny De Leo of Oceanside; daughter-in-law Lourdes De Leo of Santa Ana; brother Bill Blankenship of Newhall; sister Jean Kimball of Bakersfield; grandchildren Mylee De Leo and Anthony Kim De Leo; and great-grandchildren Joshua Andrew Vasquez and Leanna Arroyo.
No service will be held at the request of the deceased. A private cremation is planned.

Denman Glover, 83
OCEANSIDE - Denman Russel Glover, 83, died Sunday, March 25, 2000, in Claremont.
Born Oct. 27, 1916, in Rush Springs, Okla., he lived in Oceanside from 1987 to 1998. He worked for General Dynamics in Pomona before retiring and served as a chief gunner's mate aboard the S.S. Bunker Hill, Charger and Constitution in the U.S. Navy for six years. He was a member of St. Margaret Parish in Oceanside for 11 years and the Knights of Columbus, Pomona Chapter.
Mrs. Glover is survived by his wife of 53 years, Rosemary C. Glover of Upland; son Timothy D. Glover of Glendora; daughters Patricia Hanson of LaVerne, Judith Glover of Del Mar, Denise Miller of Upland, Connie Watt of Escondido and Teri Iriart of Trabuco Canyon; and 15 grandchildren.

Born June 10, 1911, in Alamosa, Colo., she lived in Oceanside for 30 years.
Mrs. Murray was preceded in death by her stepdaughter, Terry L. Hicks, in 1997. She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Raymond L. Murray of Oceanside; sons and daughters-in-law William F. and Pat Murray and Daniel W. Murray, all of Atlanta, and James R. and Bette Murray of Prosperity, S.C.; daughter and son-in-law Sherry A. and Fred Smeltzer of Osage Beach, Mo.; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

NORTH COUNTY - Meredith Fox Luckow, 67, died Friday, March 17, 2000, in Carlsbad.
Born July 18, 1932, in Los Angeles, she lived in North County for 15 years. She graduated in 1950 from Glendale High School and was given a full academic scholarship to USC. She was a risk manager for North Orange County Community College District, retiring in 1987.
Mrs. Luckow is survived by her husband of 40 years, William C. POWAY - Joseph Louis Lanz, 91, died Tuesday, March 27, 2000.
Born Dec. 1, 1908, in Utica, N.Y., she lived in Poway for five years. He was a painter and wallpaper hanger for Obiliston Apartments for 40 years and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Mr. Lanz is survived by his wife, Aletha C. Lanz of Poway; son Joseph C. Lanz of Mesa, Ariz.; daughter Jacqueline L. Roberts of Chandler, Ariz.; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
