Iva Albright, 86
ESCONDIDO - Iva Elsie "Posie" Albright, 86, died Friday, March 3, 2000, at a local hospital.
Born Oct. 31, 1913, in South Zanesville, Ohio, she lived in Escondido for nine years. She was a homemaker for 64 years.
Mrs. Albright is survived by her daughters, Dorothy M. Thomas of San Marcos, June Burnham and Ginger Sawyer, both of Chugiak, Alaska; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, March 9, at Allen Brothers Mortuary, San Marcos Chapel. A graveside service is scheduled for 1 p.m. Friday, March 10, at Mountain View Memorial Park in Barstow, with the Rev. Ronald Sharp officiating. Burial will follow.

Gwendolyn Perkins, 73
VISTA - Gwendolyn Lee Perkins, 73, died Monday, March 6, 2000, at her home.
Born July 10, 1926, in Long Beach, she lived in Vista for 10 years. She was a manifest clerk for the U.S. Customs Service for 20 years before retiring.
Mrs. Perkins is survived by her husband, Leonard M. Perkins of Vista; sons Andrew Perkins of Redondo Beach and Tim Perkins of Chino Hills; daughters Lynette Gerbe of Torrance, Chalee Reid of Fillmore and Kelly Hunt of Chino Hills; brother H.R. Bradley of Portola; sister Nina Sampietro of Scottsdale, Ariz.; 12 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and one nephew.
A private cremation is planned with cremains to be scattered at sea.

OCEANSIDE - Wauneta Corzine, 94, died Wednesday, March 8, 2000, in Oceanside.
Born March 23, 1905, in Newport, Ind., she lived in Oceanside for nine years. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Oceanside.
Mrs. Corzine was preceded in death by her husband, Roy A. Corzine, in 1990. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Delorma J. and James Hunter of Oceanside.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, March 13, at Eternal Hills Mortuary Chapel. Entombment will follow at Eternal Hills Memorial Park.

Alexander Radetzky, 82
SAN DIEGO - Alexander Nicholas Radetzky, 82, died Wednesday, March 8, 2000.
Born Sept. 17, 1917, in Brooklyn, N.Y., he lived in San Diego for 10 years. He was an civilian engineering technician for the U.S. Navy for 35 years and served in the U.S. Navy from 1942 to 1946.
Mr. Radetzky is survived by his wife of 48 years, Sofia Radetzky of San Diego; sons Dr. Nicholas Radetzky of Norwood, N.J., and Alexander Radetzky of Lake Forest; daughter Claudia Scherer of Poway; and grandchildren Brittaney Scherer and Jacqueline Scherer, both of Poway and Alexandra Nicole Radetzky of Norwood.
Viewing will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, March 12, at Alhiser-Comer Mortuary. A funeral service is scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday, March 13, at Alhiser-Comer Mortuary. Burial will follow at Riverside National Cemetery.

Helen Stremski, 82
SAN MARCOS - Helen Elizabeth Stremski, 82, died Tuesday, March 7, 2000, of congestive heart failure, at Silver Gate in San Marcos.
Born April 30, 1917, in Union, Pa., she lived in San Marcos for 15 years. She worked for the Pillsbury Co., retiring in 1975. She was a member of the Meadowlark Community Church in San Marcos and social chairman for the club house at Palomar Estates East.
Mrs. Stremski was preceded in death by her first husband, Joseph Mazeska, in 1944; son Ronald J. Mazeska, on May 12, 1982; and second husband, Henry Stremski, on Feb. 28, 1989. She is survived by her companion of 2 1/2 years, Frank Bell of Victorville; sons and daughters-in-law Duane Richard and Nancy Carolyn Mazeska of Darien, Ill., and Tanya Prettyman of Westminster, Md.; grandchildren Ryan Mazeska, Craig Mazeska, Andrea Weatherford, Dean Richard Mazeska and David Reid Mazeska; and great-grandchildren Gianna Nicole Mazeska, Devin Weatherford and Taylor Weatherford.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 15, at Palomar Estates East Clubhouse in San Marcos, with Duane R. Mazeska officiating. Another memorial service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday, March 17, at Meadowlark Community Church in San Marcos. A private cremation is planned with cremains to be interred at Meadowlark Community Church.

ESCONDIDO - Donald G. Hall, 92, died Monday, March 6, 2000, in Poway.
Born Aug. 26, 1907, in Dana, Iowa, he lived in Escondido. He was retired from Don Hall Hardware in Pomona. He attended Chalice Unitarian University and was a member of Pilgrim Congregational Church in Pomona. He was on the honorary advisor board for the San Diego Center for Children.
Mr. Hall is survived by his wife, Evelyn M. Hall of Escondido; sons Irving Hall of Harpers Field, N.Y. and Dr. Warren Hall of Temple City; daughter Eloise Ham of Chester, N.Y.; sister Berdena Oleson of San Diego; and four grandchildren.

CARLSBAD - Henrietta C. Reid, 89, died Wednesday, March 8, 2000, in La Jolla.
Born April 30, 1910, in Indiana, she lived in Carlsbad and had lived in Oceanside for many years. She was the owner of Hill Top Print Shop.
Mrs. Reid is survived by her daughter, Sue Enright of Irvine; grandchildren Tracy Enright of Oceanside and Magen Enright of Encinitas; and great-grandchild Chloe Enright of Oceanside.
A graveside service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 15, at Eternal Hills Mortuary, with the Rev. David Plank officiating. Burial will follow.

Robert Wieland, 86
Robert Wieland, 86, died Wednesday, March 1, 2000, in Carlsbad.
Born in Yakima, Wash., he lived in Carlsbad for two years. He was a carpenter in the Long Beach area for 20 years and worked for Arco oil refinery for 15 years.,
Mr. Wieland was preceded in death by his daughter, Sherry Shaffer; sons Larry Wieland and Brian Wieland; and granddaughter Christy Cooper. He is survived by his wife, Verna Wieland; son Keith Wieland; daughter Roberta Sweeden; 12 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held with interment following at All Souls cemetery in Long Beach.

ESCONDIDO - Kathryn M. Sessions, 82, died Thursday, March 2, 2000, in Escondido.
Born Sept. 22, 1917, in Texas, she lived in Escondido for 19 years. She was an escrow officer for the Bank of America for 24 years.

SAN MARCOS - John Francis Simmons Sr., 82, died Thursday, March 9, 2000, at his home.
Born in Philadelphia, he lived in San Marcos. He served in the U.S. military during World War II.
Mr. Simmons was preceded in death by his daughter, Carol Odell. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Marjorie O'Brien; son John Simmons Jr.; daughter Janice Simmons; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

ENCINITAS - Franklin E. "Bud" Conn Jr., 73, died Wednesday, March 1, 2000, of a heart attack in Encinitas.
Born June 25, 1926, in Chicago, he lived in Encinitas for 20 years. He was the co-owner of Showcase Floors in Oceanside and served in the U.S. Army. He graduated from the University of Illinois and was an executive in the hotel industry.
Mr. Conn is survived by his wife of 48 years, Geraldine Conn of Encinitas; sons and daughter-in-law Franklin E. III and Erin Conn of Carlsbad, Bradley H. Conn of Los Angeles and Christopher W. Conn of Encinitas; and grandchildren Allison M. Conn and Ashley E. Conn.
A celebration of life will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, March 19, at Lomas Santa Fe Country Club in Solana Beach. A private cremation is planned with cremains to be scattered at sea.

VISTA - Charles David Lytle, 90, died Tuesday, March 7, 2000.
Born May 1, 1909, in Hot Springs, S.D., he lived in North San Diego County for 25 years. He was an electronic salesman and department manager for Radio Products Sales Inc. in Los Angeles for 30 years. He operated power plants in the Sierra Mountains and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Mr. Lytle is survived by his wife of 53 years, Grace Lytle of Vista; daughter and son-in-law Betty and Ray Reimer of Santa Rosa; sister Irma Farmer of Corona; and grandchildren Matthew and Melanie Reimer of La Mirada.
A memorial service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Sunday, March 12, at the First Baptist Church of Oceanside in the Maranatha room.
Carl Dees, 88
SUN CITY - Carl Joe Dees, 88, died Thursday, March 9, 2000, at Menifee Valley Medical Center in Sun City.
Born July 27, 1911, in Christopher, Ill., he lived in Sun City for 26 years. He was a warehouse worker for Pacific Frozen Foods in Seattle for 42 years. He was a member of the Moose Lodge of Quail Valley.
Mr. Dees is survived by his wife, Gladys Dees of Sun City; daughter Diane Thorsen of New Castle; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
No services are planned. Burial will take place at Perris Valley Cemetery.

RAMONA - Jeremiah John Bliss, 20, died Friday, Feb. 25, 2000, at his home.
Born Jan. 16, 1980, n Loveland, Colo., he lived in Escondido for 12 years before moving to Ramona in 1995.
Mr. Bliss was preceded in death by his twin brother, Walter John Bliss Jr. He is survived by his friend, Susie Silva; father Walter John Bliss of Escondido; mother Vicki Bliss of Ramona; brother Joshua Shane Bliss of Ramona; sister Lindsay Marie Bliss of Ramona; grandparents M. Lee Bliss of Loveland and Doris H.
