VISTA - Ellen L. Brown, 87, died Saturday, June 17, 2000, at Buena Vista Knolls Convalescent.
Born Nov. 18, 1912, in Boston, she lived in Vista for one year. She was a registered nurse at various hospitals in Massachusetts, Pennsylvania and California for 30 years, retiring in 1958. She was a member of Eastern Star of Louisiana, Mo., and St. Francis Catholic Church of Vista.
Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her husband, Robert W. Brown. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, John and Gloria Senik of Oceanside and Daniel and Brenda Senik of Howell, Mich.; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A Mass will be celebrated in Louisiana, Mo. Interment will take place at Riverview cemetery in Louisiana, Mo.

RANCHO BERNARDO - Rita Lanzetta, 85, died Friday, June 16, 2000.
Born Feb. 3, 1915, in Glasgow, Scotland, she lived in Rancho Bernardo for 18 years. She was a sales associate for Roman's Clothing in New York.
Mrs. Lanzetta is survived by her daughter, Michele Gentile of San Diego; sons Tim Lanzetta of Rancho Bernardo and Danny Lanzetta of San Francisco; sister Kathleen Souter of New Jersey; brothers Eugene Mulligan of South Carolina and Gerald Mulligan of Massachusetts; and four grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. today, June 20, at Poway-Bernardo Mortuary. A Mass of Christian burial is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 21, at St. Gabriel's Catholic Church in Poway.

POWAY - Marie Higgins, 86, died Friday, June 16, 2000, at Pomerado Hospital in Poway.
Born Dec. 2, 1913, in Davenport, Iowa, she lived in San Diego for 26 years and in Ramona for three years.
Mrs. Higgins was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Joseph Higgins. She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Diane and Phil Vigil of Ramona and Barbara Montgomery of Cardiff; and grandsons Jeremy and Brandon Vigil and Ronald Montgomery.
A private service will be held at Fort Rosecrans National cemetery in Point Loma, where she will be burial with her late husband.

SAN DIEGO - Ellen Barnhill Stone Twiggs, 77, died Tuesday, May 16, 2000, in San Diego.
Born Dec. 9, 1922, in Madisonville, Ky., she lived in San Diego for four months. She was a professional artist.
Mrs. Twiggs was preceded in death by her former husband of 26 years, Neville Stone, in February 1979; husband Albert J. Twiggs, on Jan. 22, 2000; and sister Tansey Schooley, on Nov. 21, 1997. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Brad and Becky Stone of St. Louis, and John and Gayle Stone of Annandale, Va.; daughters and son-in-law Lobie Stone of Houston, Rae and Kent Stone of Middleburg, Va., and Patricia Stone and partner Lissa of San Diego; and grandchildren Sara, Jennifer, Austin, Lyndsey, Forrest, Cailin and Eric.
A memorial service was held Saturday, June 3, at Trinity Episcopal Church in Upperville, Va.

OCEANSIDE - Jones Aguon Santiago, 36, died Wednesday, June 14, 2000, at Camp Pendleton.
Born Oct. 27, 1964, in Umatac, Guam, he lived in Oceanside for four years. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps as a gunnery sergeant for 18 years.
Mr. Santiago is survived by his wife of 18 years, Marlene Quinata Santiago of Oceanside; mother and father Rosita Aguon Santiago and Enrique Aguiningoc Santiago of Guam; sons Greg Quinata Santiago of Oceanside and Dustin Louis Mabe of Seaside; daughters Kaytie Santiago Mabe of Seaside and Josie Quinata Santiago of Oceanside; brothers Eric Aguon Santiago and Rick Aguon Santiago, both of Guam; sister Renee Aguon Santiago of Guam; and grandchild Darion Santiago Mabe.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 21, at Ranch House Chapel, Camp Pendleton. Burial will take place Saturday, July 1, in Guam.

SAN MARCOS - Mary Gayle Jacobs, 81, died Friday, June 16, 2000, at a local hospital.
Born Dec. 12, 1918, in Lone Pine, Neb., she lived in San Marcos for 10 years. She was the head payroll supervisor for Western Union for 20 years and worked in the classified ad department of the Independent Press Telegram for 10 years. She was a member of DOES (Elks), Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion Auxiliary, all in Nebraska, and was a member of St. Mark's Catholic Church in San Marcos.
Mrs. Jacobs is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Michael J. and Vickie Predmore of Spring Valley and Pete L. and Ann Costello of Fredricksburg, Va.; daughter and son-in-law La Vonne and John Bergan of Westminster; brothers and sister-in-law Paul E. Coryell of Casper, Wyo., and William L. and Betty Coryell of Spokane, Wash.; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 22, at St. Mark's Catholic Church in San Marcos, with the Rev. George Dunkley officiating. A private cremation is planned with interment at Fort Rosecrans National cemetery in Point Loma.

LAS VEGAS - Anthony James Famularo, 57, died Friday, June 16, 2000, of heart failure, at University Medical Center in Las Vegas.
Born April 9, 1943, in Milwaukee, Wis., he lived in Las Vegas for one year. He was a mechanic for Datron Systems in Simi Valley for 10 years and served in the U.S. Army from 1960 to 1963. He was a NASCAR official.
Mr. Famularo is survived by his wife, Jude Famularo of Las Vegas; mother and stepfather Ruth and Donald Clemens of Wildomar; daughters Tamara Famularo and Venus Famularo, both of Murrieta; sons Cris Stuart of Lake Forest and Jeff Stuart of Las Vegas; sister Judy Cessna of Wildomar; brothers Bill Famularo of Simi Valley, Don Famularo of Las Vegas, Mark Famularo of Lomita and Scott Famularo of Agua Dulce; six grandchildren; 10 nephews; seven nieces; and one great-niece.

VISTA - Alfred V. Martinez, 69, died Tuesday, June 13, 2000, at his home.
Born Dec. 11, 1930, in Bonsall, he lived in Vista. He worked for the civil service at Camp Pendleton, retiring in 1989. He served in the U.S. Air Force and was a member of St. Mark's Catholic Church in San Marcos and BPOE 1561 in Oceanside.
Mr. Martinez was preceded in death by his son, Richard Martinez, in September 1999. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Mary Martinez of Vista; sons and daughter-in-law Joe and Terri Martinez of Anza and David Martinez of Vista; daughters and son-in-law Kathryn Hearn and Doris Martinez, both of Temecula, Sandra and Ronald Williams of Vista and Marlene Martinez of Leucadia; sisters and brothers-in-law Christina and Louie Gonzales and Mary and Hank Diaz, both of Oceanside.

ENCINITAS - Minnie L. Pritchard, 87, died Saturday, June 10, 2000, at her home.
Born April 4, 1913, in Paola, Kan., she lived in Encinitas for 40 years and had been in San Diego County for 48 years. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Pritchard was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, George "Fritz" Pritchard, in 1996. She is survived by her sons, Alvin Eugene Pritchard of Ramona and Gary Wayne Pritchard of Encinitas; daughter Marcia Pritchard-Leonard of Vista; grandchildren Danny, Denise and Wendy Pritchard; great-grandchildren Nathan and Cody Pritchard; and a large extended family.

Theodore Hundley, 46
SACRAMENTO - Theodore Ray Hundley, 46, died Monday, June 5, 2000, at UC Davis Medical Center.
Born July 31, 1953, in Spring Hill, W.Va., he lived in Woodland for 14 years and in California for 20 years. He was a 1971 graduate of St. Albans High School and served in the Air Force. He worked in radiology for 29 years, spending 15 years at Woodland Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Hundley is survived by his wife of 26 years, Terri Bruce Hundley; mother and father Nettie and Wyatt of Hurricane, W.Va.; sons Jason Hundley and Eric Hundley, both of Woodland; sisters and brothers-in-law Debbie and Steve Stodgen and Faith and JB Garrett, all of St. Albans, W.Va.; brothers and sisters-in-law Danny and Kathy Hundley of Richmond, Va., Garrett and Hoby Hundley of Temecula and Scott and Pam Hundley of St. Albans; and numerous in-laws, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Born Sept. 14, 1919, in Ashland, Mo., she lived in Sun City for 25 years. She was a loan examiner for Veterans Administration for 30 years and a member of the Sun City Lawn Bowl Club and the Sun City Travel Club.
Mrs. Stern is survived by her stepson, George Stern of Novato; sister Merle Clatterbuck of San Angelo; eight step-grandchildren; and seven step-great-grandchildren.

HEMET - Jasper W. "Fritz" Hogue III, 55, died Friday, June 16, 2000, at his home.
Born Nov. 25, 1944, in Clarksburg, W.Va., he lived in Hemet for four years and had lived in Escondido for more than 20 years. He worked for R.J. Lanthier Inc. Heating and cooling in San Marcos for more than four years.
Mr. Hogue is survived by his wife, Joane Hogue of Hemet; daughters Pandora Hogue and Jennifer Peters, both of Hemet; sons Raymond Hogue of Anza and Nolan Peters of San Francisco; two brothers; one sister; and five grandchildren.

Mr. Martin is survived by his wife of 32 years, Florence L. Martin of Vista; sister Jeri Launder of Fallbrook; sisters-in-law Mrs. Joe Martin of Gravette, Ark., and Pauline Davis of San Diego; and many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Herron is survived by her husband of 62 years, Paul E. Herron of Fallbrook; son Paul T. Herron of Fallbrook; daughter Reya Lee Herron of Fallbrook; and brother Joe Jurek of Minneapolis.
No service will be held at the request of the deceased. A private cremation is planned with cremains to be scattered at sea on Tuesday, June 27, off the coast of San Diego County.

Born July 5, 1926, in the Bronx, N.Y., she lived in Ramona for 10 years. She was a graduate of Green Mountain College in Poultney, Vt., and a homemaker. She was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, San Vicente Valley Club and the San Vicente Women's Golf Association.
Mrs. Roberts is survived by her husband of 52 years, Gordon L. Roberts; sons and daughters-in-law Gordon L. Roberts III and Lisbeth Roberts of Arhus, Denmark, Peters and Pamela Roberts of Bellingham, Wash., Brian and Jeri Roberts and Matthew and Terry Roberts, all of San Luis Obispo; daughter Rudianne Roberts of San Luis Obispo; and grandchildren Isabel, Shawna and Jillian Roberts.
