Winema Cemetery is located in the small mountain town of Weed, California. The photo above was taken looking east toward the majestic Mt. Shasta and does not show the full extent of the cemetery. The cemetery continues west behind the photographer another 75 yards or so on a slope. To find this cemetery, exit Interstate 5 at the central Weed exit and turn east. Follow this road until you reach the junction of Highway 97 and turn right. Travel approximately one mile to California street and turn right. Follow California to the end and turn left. The entrance to the cemetery will be one block up and on your left.
