In the name of God, Amen: I, Andrew Curtis, of the County of Santa Clara and State of California, being of sound mind and memory and considering the uncertainty of life, do...make, ordain, publish, and declare this my last Will and Testament. That is to say, I give and bequeath to my beloved wife, Naomi D., two American cows, as follows, one, Blop by name, red, with white back and belly, the other a red pied named Pink, to be hers forever. Second: After all my lawfull debts are paid and discharged and my funeral expenses paid, I give, bequeath, and dispose of as follows: To wit: To my friend Henry Richards of the same State and County aforesaid and to his heirs and assigns forever. I do nominate and appoint my friend Henry Richards (above named) executor of this my last will and testament.
