Hastings, late of City of New York, temporarily in San Jose, California. (Will filed in Records of Santa Clara County, State of California.) Dated: 30 November 1852 Filed: 26 March 1853 First: I devise the tract of land bought by me of Augustin Narvaez and wife by deed dated 17 September 1852....duly recorded to Andrew I. Yates and I. J. Ingersoll of San Jose, their heirs and assigns forever upon the following trust and conditions to wit: they shall sell or convey in fee simple for a term not exceeding ten years and collect and receive the proceeds of rents.....for the sole use and benefit of my heirs a and to be paid over to them at all times.
