Born July 26, 1948, in Mexico, he lived in San Marcos for 15 years. He did maintenance for Valdez Landscape.
Mr. Flores is survived by his companion of 17 years, Herminia Blanco of San Marcos; seven daughters living in Mexico and California; four brothers of Mexico; six sisters; and five grandchildren.

ESCONDIDO - L'Rhue Threlkeld, 85, died Friday, May 12, 2000, of a heart attack, in Las Vegas.
Born Feb. 9, 1915, in Shelbina, Mo., he lived in Escondido for 13 years. He worked for Kaiser Steel Corporation in Fontana retiring in 1977. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and the Korean War and was a member and past president of Anglers of Escondido.
Mr. Threlkeld is survived by his wife of 55 years, Emily Threlkeld of Escondido; son and daughter-in-law Richard and Eloise Threlkeld of Los Osos; daughter and son-in-law Janet and Ken Manell of Escondido and Lois Threlkeld of Los Angeles; brother Robert Threlkeld of Hemphill, Texas; sisters Noreen Bemiss of Sun City, Ariz., Bonnie Cook of Kenosha, Wis., and Betty Hallmark of Webb City, Mo.; grandchildren Kristine Cooper, Karol Manell, Evan Threlkeld, Darren Threlkeld and Colin Threlkeld; and great-grandchildren Paige and Trenton Cooper.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, May 26, at Church of Saint Timothy, with the Rev. James Rafferty officiating. A private inurnment will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery.

ESCONDIDO - Esther M. Eden, 89, died Wednesday, April 26, 2000, in Escondido.
Born Dec. 8, 1910, in Riege, Neb., she lived in Escondido since 1920. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and lived in the Heritage Hoffman house, now in Grape Day Park, for almost 60 years.
Mrs. Eden is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Gary and Debbie Eden; sisters Martha Thompson, Selma Heman and Eleanor Jensen; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. today, May 16, at Oak Hill Cemetery, with the Rev. James Young officiating.

ESCONDIDO - Eladio "Fernando" Ruelas, 30, died Sunday, May 14, 2000, in San Diego.
Born Aug. 6, 1969, in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, he lived in Escondido for 21 years. He was a life-skill vocational counselor for Network 21.
Mr. Ruelas is survived by his wife of 12 years, Angie Ruelas of Escondido; mother Carmen Ruelas of Escondido; father David Ruelas of Modesto; brother David Ruelas of Modesto; sisters Angelica Gonzalez, Blanca Mays, Irma Navarro, Hilda Avila and Lilly Gonzalez, all of Escondido, and Erica Ruelas of Modesto; six nephews; and seven nieces.

Born Oct. 8, 1913, in Calbigo Samar, Philippines, she lived in San Marcos for 16 years. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Bacuetes is survived by her husband of 65 years, Juan Bacuetes of Escondido; sons Megenaro Bacuetes of San Jose, Feliciano Bacuetes of the Philippines, Santos Bacuetes of San Diego, Andy Bacuetes of San Marcos, Magdaleno Bacuetes of Escondido and Rodrigo Bacuetes of Las Vegas; daughters Rosa Issa of San Marcos, Marieta Hanke of San Marcos, Laticia Carter and Cristita Bacuetes, both of San Jose, and Madrona Eistol of the Philippines; 20 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Raymond Abbott, 83
RAMONA - Raymond R. Abbott, 83, died Friday, May 12, at a local hospital.
Born Feb. 9, 1917, in Wakefield, Mich., he lived in Ramona for 41 years. He served as a paratrooper in the U.S. Army 82nd Airborne in Central Europe during World War II and owned a body and fender shop in Michigan and Ramona. He also owned a chicken ranch in Ramona and was a member of Grace Community Church and the National Rifle Association and a life member of Disabled American Veterans.
Mr. Abbott is survived by his wife of 62 years, Mable Abbott; son and daughter-in-law Jerry and Karolyn Abbott; daughters and son-in-law Madelyn and Jim Holmquist and Francine Abbott, all of Ramona; brothers Roger Abbott and Thomas Abbott, both of Arizona; sisters Elizabeth McCaughey and Dorothy Phillips, both of Arizona; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

RAMONA - Jeanette M. Albright, 91, died Friday, May 12, 2000, at a local hospital.
Born Jan. 24, 1909, in Chicago, she lived in Ramona for 23 years. She was a homemaker and a member of the Bellevue Baptist Church in Chicago and Ramona First Baptist Church.
Mrs. Albright was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Albright, on April 30, 1989. She is survived by her sons, Tom Albright of Wake Forest, N.C., and Ray Albright Jr. of El Cajon; daughter Sue Albright of Ramona; nine grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.

Born May 18, 1920, in Neche, N.D., she lived in San Marcos for four years and in Oceanside for 10 years. She was a dietitian for the Covina Unified School District for 25 years and a homemaker.
Mrs. Main is survived by her husband, John Main of San Marcos; son Richard Dehart of Poway; stepson Robert Dehart Jr. of North Bend, Ore.; brothers and sisters; grandchildren JoEllen and Michael Orcini, Karlene and Edward Textor and Paul Dehart; and great-grandchild Sherri Textor.

DESERT HOT SPRINGS - Murl LeRoy Parker, 84, died Monday, May 15, 2000, of congestive heart failure and leukemia, at Manor Care Nursing Home in Palm Desert.
Born January 4, 1916, in Grand Ledge, Mich., he lived in Vista for 15 years. He worked for the Carpenters Union in Vista and was the general manager for GATX in San Pedro before retiring. He was a member of the Elks Lodge and Moose Lodge.

She provided a senior citizen's taxi-valet service for 21 years and was a member of Christian Womens Club, Native Daughters, Fraternal Organization of Eagles, Pocahontas Organization, all of Chico, and Fraternal Order of Eagles of Escondido.
