Patricia Feather, 61
ESCONDIDO - Patricia A. Feather, 61, died Sunday, June 18, 2000, in Grand Forks, N.D.
Born March 17, 1939, in Durango, Colo., she lived in Escondido since 1970. She graduated from Mosca High School in Colorado in 1957. She earned a nursing degree at Beth Ell nursing school in 1960 in Colorado Springs and a bachelor of science in allied health. She worked for Palomar Medical Center from 1970 to 1990 when she retired as assistant base hospital coordinator.
Mrs. Feather is survived by her sons, Sean Feather of Escondido and Chris Feather of Salida, Colo.; daughter Kaseylee Lawrence-Feather of Temecula; and grandchildren Loren Abbott, Dustin Lawrence, Stephanie Feather, Kayla Feather and Micheal Feather.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, June 26, at Alhiser-Comer Mortuary in Escondido.
Leonard Ray, 86
RAMONA - Leonard Ray, 86, died Sunday, June 11, 2000, at a local hospital.
Born May 17, 1914, in Sheridan, Wyo., he lived in Ramona for 30 years. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1930 to 1934 in Hawaii and the South Pacific. He was a metalworker and technician in the aviation industry for Thorne Engineering and Hughes Aviation, where he helped develop the Hughes Hercules or "Spruce Goose," a giant transport. He also worked at the Naval Air Station at North Island and Langley Corporation in San Diego, retiring in 1970. He was a security guard for San Diego Country Estates.
Mr. Ray is survived by his wife of 36 years, Connie Ray of Ramona; daughter and son-in-law Jan and Bob Monzingo of Devore; and sister Irene Halquist of Colorado.
A family service will be held at a later date.

Harlan Beach, 53
SAN DIEGO - Harlan F. Beach Jr., 53, died Tuesday, June 20, 2000.
Born July 13, 1946, in Muscatine, Iowa, he lived in San Diego. He worked in advertising and was the owner of a contracting company.
Mr. Beach was preceded in death by his mother, Florence Beach. He is survived by his father and stepmother, Harlan F. Beach Sr. and Gertrud Beach of Poway; brother and sister-in-law Steven and Dee Beach of Poway; stepbrothers Robert Geiler and Richard Geiler, both of San Diego; two nieces and one nephew.
A private cremation is planned and his ashes will be scattered at sea. A memorial service will be held at noon Saturday, June 24, at 13136 Lomas Verdes Drive in Poway.

Ellsworth Brown, 86
HOMELAND - Ellsworth Lawrence Brown, 86, died Saturday, June 17, 2000, at Valley Plaza Doctor's Hospital in Perris.
Born Aug. 3, 1913, in Oakland, he lived in Homeland for 26 years. He was a sheet metal worker for McDonnell Douglas in Long Beach for 20 years and served in the U.S. Army from 1941 to 1943.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 28, at Riverside National Cemetery, Staging Area 1. A private cremation is planned.

Helen Coutee, 78
MURRIETA - Helen Marie Coutee, 78, died Monday, June 5, 2000, at Inland Valley Regional Medical Center in Wildomar.
Born April 21, 1922, in Prescott, Ark., she lived in Murrieta for nine years. She was a homemaker and a seamstress for Joshua Tree in Redondo Beach for 10 years.
Mrs. Coutee was preceded in death by her son, Ernest Coutee Jr. and daughter Mary S. Knight. She is survived by her husband, Ernest Coutee of Murrieta; daughters Littlet Westmoreland of Temecula and Sheree Hall of Corona; sisters Edith Garner of Camden, Ark., Minnie Gauthreaux and Betty Falcon, both of New Orleans; and Beatrice Dougan and Nellie McSweeny, both of Prescott, Ark.; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
A rosary was recited Thursday, June 8, at Miller-Jones Mortuary, with the Rev. Santos Ortega officiating. A funeral service was held Friday, June 9, at St. Martha's Catholic Church. Burial took place at Riverside National Cemetery.

VENTURA - Lucille Caroline Lockwood, 89, died Tuesday, June 20, 2000, at her home.
Born Aug. 19, 1910, in Ephraim, Utah, she lived in Ventura for four years and had lived in Sun City and Quail Valley for 30 years. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Lockwood is survived by her sons, Richard Lockwood or Orange and Chuck Lockwood of Ventura; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 24, at Evans Brown Sun City Mortuary. Burial will take place at Riverside National Cemetery.

MURRIETA - Virginia May Hartman, 86, died Sunday, June 4, 2000, at her home.
Born March 1, 1914, in Kalamazoo, Mich., she lived in Murrieta for 15 years.
Mrs. Hartman is survived by her daughter, Suzanne DeMarse of Murrieta; sisters Lucille Taylor and Lois Taylor, both of Murrieta, Barbara Thomas of Temecula, Anne Jordan of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Dorothy Bastow of Chiefland, Fla.; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held Thursday, June 8, at Douglass Mortuary in El Segundo. Burial followed at Green Hills cemetery in Torrance.

Grace Sage, 78
OCEANSIDE - Grace M. Sage, 78, died Tuesday, May 9, 2000, at Life Care Center in Vista.
Born Nov. 30, 1921, in North Carolina, she lived in Oceanside for 12 years. She earned an associate of arts degree in Riverside and was a senior accountant for 25 years. She was a past member of Carlsbad-Oceanside Art League.
Mrs. Sage was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Sage. She is survived by her daughter, Louise Radowitz; son Tony Wallace; three sisters; eight grandchildren; and several nephews and nieces.
A private inurnment was held at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery.

VALLEY CENTER - Ina Belle Armstrong, 92, died Friday, June 16, 2000, in Valley Center.
Born May 3, 1908, in Whittier, she lived in Valley Center for 55 years. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Armstrong is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Donald and Darlene Armstrong of Valley Center; daughter Helen Schreider of Santa Fe, N.Y.; sister Grace Howlett of San Luis Obispo; grandchildren Mark Armstrong and wife Donna of Valley Center, Renee Armstrong of Santa Rosa, Camille Armstrong of San Diego and Merle Van Cleve of Valley Center.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 27, in Valley Center.

RANCHO PENASQUITOS - Robert Clarence Moore, 64, died Sunday, June 18, 2000.
Born May 24, 1936, in New Jersey, he lived in Rancho Penasquitos for 15 years. He was a senior inspector for San Diego County for 27 years. He was a member of the American Legion, Harbor Island Yacht Club and Alcoholics Anonymous for 17 years.
Mr. Moore is survived by his wife, Peggy A. Moore of Rancho Penasquitos; daughter Lisa Hammett of Ukiah; sons Robert C. Moore Jr. and Todd Moore, both of New Jersey, Michael D. Moore of El Centro, Zackary Lundberg of San Diego and Jason Lundberg of Michigan; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, June 23, and will be held from 9 a.m. to noon today, June 24, at Poway-Bernardo Mortuary. A funeral service will follow at 12:15 p.m.

VISTA - Theodore William Tindall, 88, died Monday, June 19, 2000, at his home.
Born Aug. 23, 1911, in Kansas City, Kan., he lived in Vista for 31 years. He worked for Phillips Petroleum Co. for 42 years, starting as mailroom clerk and advancing to data processing supervisor. He was a master of Masonic Lodge in Kansas City, Kan., and was a member of Luther Church in Kansas.
Mr. Tindall was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Ruth Tindall; and daughter Linda Tindall. He is survived by his sons, James M. Tindall of Vista and Theodore W. Tindall Jr. of Walnut Creek; and granddaughter Karen Tindall.

Marvin Anderson, 91
ESCONDIDO - Marvin S. Anderson, 91, died Monday, June 19, 2000, at Redwood Terrace Health Center.
Born April 7, 1909, in Grantsburg, Wis., he lived in Escondido 3 1/2 years. He had lived in Pasadena and Van Nuys for 32 years. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1932 to 1936 and worked for McDonnell Douglas Aircraft Co., retiring as quality control supervisor in 1973 after 37 years.
Mr. Anderson was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Lyda Anderson, in 1978; his second wife, Frances Anderson, in 1994; and a grandson, Brent Anderson, in 1989. He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Marvin Anderson and Carol Anderson, both of Ames, Iowa, Gerald and Barbara Anderson of Henderson, Nev., and Jack and Judi Anderson of Escondido; stepdaughter Cynthia Tindaro of La Jolla; sister Marian Timmins of Escondido; brother Weston Anderson of Palm Springs; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and three additional great-grandchildren on the way.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 24, at Grace Lutheran Church in Escondido, with the Rev. James Young officiating. Interment will take place at Oakwood Memorial Park in Chatsworth later this year.

Sarah Ennis, 84
ESCONDIDO - Sarah Deobra Ennis, 84, died Thursday, June 22, 2000, at her home in Escondido.
Born July 3, 1915, in Denison, Texas, she lived in Escondido for 47 years. She was a seamstress before retiring in 1970. She was a member of the Broadway Baptist Church for 45 years and a charter member of Palomar Hospital Volunteers and had donated 5000 hours.
Mrs. Ennis was preceded in death by her husband, Fred C. Ennis, in 1988. She is survived by her son, James Fred Ennis of Murrieta; daughters and sons-in-law Sarah and Howard Mueller and Margaret and Louis Miller, all of Escondido; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Visitation and viewing will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, June 25, at Alhiser-Comer Mortuary. A funeral is scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday, June 26, at the Broadway Baptist Church, with the Rev. Jack Bickman officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park.

SUN CITY - Jean Catherine Neugebauer, 70, died Thursday, June 22, 2000.
Born Dec. 31, 1929, in Old Forge, Pa., she lived in Sun City for four years. She was an office assistant for Carl's Jr. Corporate Office in Anaheim for three years and was co-founder of Sand Tires Unlimited in Los Angeles.
Mrs. Neugebauer is survived by her daughters, Jerrie Moody of Las Flores and Aleta Beckett, a k a Star Ali Mistriel of Lund, Nev.; and four grandchildren.

Born July 18, 1920, in Temple, Texas, she lived in Fallbrook for 38 years. She worked for the federal civil service at Camp Pendleton.
Mrs. Arnold was preceded in death by her husband, John D. Arnold, in 1966. She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Jo Lynn and Jerry G. Rice of Rowlett, Texas, and Donna Arnold of Oceanside; and grandchildren Tamara and Andrew Dorcas of Riverside and Debra and Roger Smith of Rowlett.

Born Feb. 7, 1917, in St. Louis, she lived in San Diego. She was an advertising manager for Reichold Chemical for more than 30 years and was a member of the Women's Auxiliary for Veterans of Foreign Wars and the first board member of the San Diego AD Council.
Mrs. Dierker is survived by her brother, Neal Dowling of Phoenix; and many nieces and nephews.
