OCEANSIDE - Daniel Joseph Kristof, 42, died Tuesday, June 6, 2000, at his home.
Born June 10, 1957, in Akron, Ohio, he lived in Oceanside for 27 years. He was a chef at La Costa and attended the Art Center College of Design for Photography.
Mr. Kristof is survived by his mother, Sally Kristof of Oceanside; father and stepmother Robert and Ann Kristof of San Diego; brothers Larry Kristof of Oceanside and Michael Kristof of Washington, D.C.; and sisters Chandra of Basalt, Colo., and Janine Kristof of Carlsbad.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. today, June 9, at Cornerstone Community Church in Oceanside.

Thelma Stansbury, 80
RAMONA - Thelma M. Stansbury, 80, died Wednesday, June 7, at her home.
Born June 11, 1919, in Rogers, Ark., she lived in Los Angeles. She ran a turkey and poultry processing plant and hatchery until retiring in 1963. She was a member of the Friends Church, a charter member of the Grace Community Church, a member of the Ramona First Christian Church and served twice as president of the Ramona Woman's Club.
Mrs. Stansbury is survived by her husband of 64 years, Bill Stansbury of Ramona; daughters and sons-in-law Mary Lou and Michael Chiara of Cedar City, Utah, and Jan A. Niles and James Robinson of Lanham, Md.; grandchildren Bonnie Harris of Rancho Bernardo and Tracy Buxton of Las Vegas; and three great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, June 11, at Bonham Bros. & Lee Ramona Chapel. A funeral service is scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday, June 12, at the First Christian Church of Ramona. A private family committal service will follow at Nuevo Memory Gardens in Ramona.

ESCONDIDO - Adeline Delphine Marron Trujillo, 76, died Tuesday, June 6, 2000, of cancer, at her home.
Born Oct. 25, 1923, in Carlsbad, she lived in Escondido for 76 years. She was a receptionist for Packard Dental for 20 years. a member of St. Francis Parish and Resurrection Church of Escondido, the Altar and Rosary Society of St. Francis, Squirettes of St. Francis, Republican Women's Club and Rancho Vista Historical Society.
Mrs. Trujillo is survived by her husband, Bernard A. Trujillo of Escondido; son Donald Trujillo of Bend, Ore.; daughters Sharon Medlicott of Coulterville and Patricia Trujillo of Escondido; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A rosary will be held at 7 p.m. today, June 9, at Allen Brothers Mortuary, Vista Chapel. A memorial service is scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, June 10, at Resurrection Catholic Church in Escondido. A private cremation is planned with burial to take place at Mission San Luis Rey Cemetery.

JULIAN - Patricia L. Macfarlane, 81, died Monday, June 5, at a local convalescent hospital.
Born Jan. 1, 1919, in New York City, she lived in Julian for 54 years. She was a member of the Julian Triangle Club, serving as play director, and a member of the Spencer Valley Elementary School District, the Julian Community United Methodist Church and a Girl Scout leader. She was a teacher at Warner Springs for 20 years and wrote for the Ramona Sentinel.
Mrs. Macfarlane is survived by her son, Mike Macfarlane of Murphys; daughters Docia Blacock of Demorest, Ga., and Sally Caulkin of Borrego Springs; and four grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, June 10, at Julian Community United Methodist Church.

William A. Cockell Jr., 70, died
Born Aug. 12, 1929, in Oswego, N.Y., he lived in He earned a bachelor of arts degree in political science at Ohio State University in 1950, a master of arts degree in public law and government and a certificate of the Russian Institute at Columbia University in 1952 and a J.D. at the University of Michigan in 1959. He was a member of Phi Beta Kappa, Pi Sigma Alpha, the Order of the Coif. He earned the Jerome S. Freud Memorial Prize for the highest class standing at law school. He graduated from the U.S. Armed Forces Staff College and the U.K. Joint Services Staff College. He served in the U.S. Navy.

SAN MARCOS - James Aaron Sullivan, 21, died Friday, June 2, 2000, on active duty with the U.S. Navy, in Virginia.
Born June 10, 1978, in Bisbee, Ariz., he lived in San Marcos.
Mr. Sullivan is survived by his mother and stepfather, Tammy and William Beach of San Marcos; grandparents Pete and Katie Amaya and James Sullivan, all of Bisbee, Ariz.; great-grandmother Elvira Lopez of Bisbee; brother Brandon Beach of San Marcos; and sisters Valerie Beach of San Marcos and Jolinda Buddenhagen of Tucson, Ariz.

Born March 18,m 1914, in Monrovia, she lived in Fallbrook for three years. She worked for the Saugus Union School District.
Mrs. Calzia was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Calzia, in 1994. She is survived by her son, Wayne Calzia of Seattle; daughters Judy Hogarth of Fallbrook and Dorothy Desjardins of Barstow; three sisters; 12 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

Born Jan. 22, 1913, in Indiana, he lived in Oceanside for one year. He worked for Sears before retiring.
Mr. Hoover was preceded in death by his wife, Katherine P. Hoover, in May 1997. He is survived by his daughters, Earleen Hoover and Sondre Lakin, both of Oceanside; brothers Harry F. Hoover of Sun City, Ariz., Larry J. Hoover of Munich, Ind., and Bill E. Hoover of Winchester, Ind.; and one grandchild.

RANCHO BERNARDO - Richard Thane Holt, 60, died Thursday, May 25, 2000.
Born May 15, 1940, in San Diego, he lived in Rancho Bernardo. He was the owner of Thane Business Products, retiring in 1983. He was an elder and head usher at Community Presbyterian Church and volunteered at the Presbyterian Thrift Shop. He served as president of Better Breathers, a division of the American Lung Association.
Mr. Holt is survived by his former wife, Pat Holt; mother Esther Holt; daughter Kathy Thibault of Foothill Ranch and Pamela Holt of Los Angeles; son-in-law Brett Thibault; and one grandchild.

Born April 2, 1913, in Etna, Ohio, he lived in Escondido for 25 years. He was a minister for the United Methodist Church for 40 years, retiring in 1978.
Mr. Goss is survived by his wife of 61 years, Elaine Goss of Escondido; sons and daughters-in-law C. Richard and Andra Goss of Crescent City and Robert V. and Beverly Goss of Gardiner, Mont.; and grandchildren Jacquelyn Goss of Fairbanks, Alaska and Stephanie Goss and Bryan Goss, both of Gardiner.

Ms. Atchison is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Danel and Paul Duckworth of Valley Center; two brothers; nephews Robert Johnson of Chula Vista and Michael Johnson of California; and niece Candace Hanson of California.

CARLSBAD - Arthur Yolles, 83, died Wednesday, June 7, 2000, at his home in Carlsbad.
Born May 21, 1917, in New York, he lived in Rancho Carlsbad for 10 years. He helped establish Caring Residents of Carlsbad Homeless Shelter and was a volunteer for Laubach Literary Tutoring.
Mr. Yolles was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Ida Yolles, on Nov. 22, 1999. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Steve and Joyce Irwin of San Diego; and grandson Craig Yolles.

SAN BERNARDINO - Norman Raymond Rugg, 70, died Tuesday, June 6, 2000, at his home in San Bernardino.
Born March 2, 1930, in Buffalo, N.Y., he lived in San Bernardino for one year. He was a truck driver for Ryder Trucking for 40 years and served in the U.S. Navy from 1951 to 1962. He was an ICX driver in South Gate and worked for Atlantic Richfield Co. in Los Angeles. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, Disabled American Veterans and the American Legion.
Mr. Rugg is survived by his sons, Bryant Rugg of Perris, Darrell Rugg of San Bernardino, Michael Rugg of St. Louis and Charles Overill of Alba, Mo.; daughters Karen Flores of Riverside and Karalynn Miranda of Hemet; sisters Jean Kuhs of Bradenton, Fla., Rosemond Lexer of Caharauguf, N.Y., and Arlette Weber of Lackawanna, N.Y.; four grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

SUN CITY - Ruth Bishop, 86, died Saturday, May 20, 2000, of cardiac arrest, at her home.
Born March 19, 1914, in Staten Island, N.Y., she lived in Sun City for 15 years. She was a secretary for BFGoodrich in Ohio for 18 years.
Mrs. Bishop is survived by her husband, Leonard Bishop of Sun City.

George Neville, 69
TEMECULA - George William Neville, 69, died Sunday, May 21, 2000, at his home.
Born Nov. 5, 1930, in Dickenson, N.D., he lived in Temecula for seven years. He was a surveyor and construction manager throughout the United States and in the Pacific and Southeast Asia. He was also chief estimator for American Contracting in Temecula. He served in the U.S. Army Infantry during the Korean War and was wounded in the retreat to the Pusan perimeter.
Mr. Neville is survived by his wife, Somari Neville of Temecula; son Jon Neville of Escondido; sisters Daphney Linscott and June Gotharad, both of Billings, Mont.; and caretaker Penney Flores.
A private service was held Sunday, May 28.
