Mary Jane Grams, 71
MURRIETA - Mary Jane Grams, 71, died Monday, Aug. 21, 2000, at Inland Valley Regional Medical Center in Wildomar.
Born March 8, 1929, in Seymour, Iowa, she lived in Murrieta for 21 years. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Grams is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Ricky and Dayna Grams of Bethel, Alaska; daughter and son-in-law Cindy and Lewis Grubbs of Wildomar; brother Marvin Blevins of Lake Elsinore; and sisters and brother-in-law Maxine Gruber of Chicago and Marilyn and Dean Chalcraft of Carpentersville, Ill.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 28, at Riverside National Cemetery. Burial will follow.
Miller-Jones Mortuary Inc. is handling arrangements.

Barbara Griffin, 65
WILDOMAR - Barbara J. "Bobbie" Griffin, 65, died Monday, Aug. 21, 2000, at her home.
Born Oct. 17, 1934, in Clearwater, she lived in Wildomar for 10 years. She was a bookkeeper for Independent Mortgage for six months and enjoyed collecting dolls, interior design and gardening.
Mrs. Griffin is survived by her mother, Irene Griggs of Wildomar; son Michael Mucklon of Yucca Valley; daughters Cathy Webster of La Habra, Jamie Holvay of Murrieta and Michele Sandoval of Temecula; 14 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. today, Aug. 26, at Rainbow Chapel at Rose Hills Cemetery. Burial will follow.
Valley Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

Stana Ignjatovic, 84
ESCONDIDO - Stana Ignjatovic, 84, died Thursday, Aug. 24, 2000, in Poway.
Born Jan. 19, 1916, in Yugoslavia, she lived in Escondido for six years. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Ignjatovic is survived by her son, Alexander Ignjatovic of Escondido; grandchildren Vesna Lukic of Escondido and Dragisha Ignjatovic of Salt Lake City; and six great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be held at 6:30 p.m., with a rosary recited at 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 28, at St. Petka Serbian Orthodox Church in San Marcos. A mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 29, at the church. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park.

Olive Cosgriff, 82
KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. - Olive Hrecina Cosgriff, 82, died Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2000, of a stroke, at her home.
Born April 23, 1918, in Elizabeth, N.J., she lived in Klamath Falls for 10 years. She worked for San Luis Rey Mission before retiring in 1988 and served in the U.S. Marine Corps as a sergeant. She was a member of the Catholic Church.
Mrs. Cosgriff was preceded in death by her husband, John Edward Cosgriff, in 1975. She is survived by her son, John Edward Cosgriff of Huntington Beach; daughter and son-in-law Cynthia and Ralph Dimmitt of Klamath Falls; grandchild Samantha Anne Legg of Bend, Ore.; and great-grandchildren William, Tabatha and Victoria Legg, all of Bend.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 30, at Garden of Roses at Eternal Hills Memorial Park.

Dale Hobbs, 77
FALLBROOK - Dale S. Hobbs, 77, died Thursday, Aug. 24, 2000, at his home.
Born Dec. 9, 1922, in Minnesota, he lived in Fallbrook for 11 years. He worked for Anheiser Busch before retiring in 1980 and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Mr. Hobbs was preceded in death by his wife, Susan R. Hobbs. He is survived by his daughters Suelene Hobbs of Syrucuse, N.Y., Dalene Hobbs of Fallbrook and Tina Hobbs of Lake Elsinore; brother and sister-in-law Delbert and Mary Hobbs of Minnesota; sister Cleo McNeir of Minnesota; and grandchildren Austin and Daryn.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 29, at Fallbrook Golf Club, with the Rev. Phil Tukua officiating. A private cremation is planned with cremains to be scattered at sea.
The family suggests memorial donations to the American Cancer Society Memorial Program, 12405 Rancho Bernardo Road, Suite 100, San Diego, CA 92128.
North County Cremation is handling arrangements.

Martha Washington Walton, 95
OCEANSIDE - Martha Washington Walton, 95, died Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2000, in Oceanside.
Born Feb. 22, 1925, in Missouri, she lived in Oceanside. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. Washington is survived by her husband of 55 years, Norman Walton; sons Douglas Walton of Los Angeles and Lawrence Walton of Oceanside; sisters Dorothy Stroud of Fountain Valley and Eleanor Williams of Springfield, Mo.; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
A private cremation is planned, with cremains to be scattered at sea.
Eternal Hills Mortuary is handling arrangements.

Norma Campbell, 77
SAN MARCOS - Norma D. Campbell, 77, died Thursday, Aug. 24, 2000, in Vista.
Born Dec. 8, 1922, in Madison, Maine, she lived in San Marcos for eight years. She worked for Phoenix Insurance Co. of Hartford, Conn.
Mrs. Campbell was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Campbell, in 1999. She is survived by her daughter, Michelle O'Shea of San Marcos; sister-in-law Doris Campbell of Vista; grandchildren Robert O'Shea of Los Angeles and Jillian O'Shea of College Park, Md.; and nephews Wayne Campbell of Vista, Gary Campbell of Ashland, Ore., and Glen Campbell of Idaho.
A private cremation is planned.

Robert Baker, 78
FALLBROOK - Robert Monroe Baker, 78, died Thursday, Aug. 24, 2000, in Fallbrook.
Born Aug. 12, 1922, in Rushford, N.Y., he lived in Fallbrook for 18 years. He was a technician for Occidental Petroleum for 36 years before retiring and served in the U.S. Army in the 1st Infantry Division in the European Theater during World War II. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Fallbrook and of the Fallbrook Senior Citizen Center.
Mr. Baker is survived by his wife of 33 years, Ruth Jean Baker of Fallbrook; sons Douglas A. Baker and Robert L. Baker, both of Buffalo, N.Y., and Richard L. Baker of Rochester, N.Y.; stepson Robert H.P. Sagehorn of West Palm Beach, Fla.; daughters Jenine M. Mason of Carlsbad and Kathryn J. Bauer of Buffalo; 15 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 1, at Zion Lutheran Church in Fallbrook, with the Rev. Mark W. Demel officiating. Burial will take place at Acacia Park cemetery in N. Tonawanda, N.Y., at a date to be determined. A private cremation is planned.
The family suggests memorial donations to Zion Lutheran Church Building Fund, 1405 E. Fallbrook St., Fallbrook, CA 92028.

Donald Bills, 81
POWAY - Donald Richard Bills, 81, died Thursday, Aug. 24, 2000, at Villa Pomerado in Poway.
Born July 13, 1919, in Howard City, Mich., he lived in Poway for 22 years. He was a self-employed institutional food service owner before retiring in 1978. He served in the U.S. Army from 1941 to 1945.
Mr. Bills is survived by his wife of 56 years, Ruth Bills of Poway; son Daniel Richard Bills of Hendersonville, Tenn.; daughters Merrilyn Clark of Escondido, Cynthia Falls of Elmhurst, Ill., and Robbie Shockey of West Chicago, Ill.; sisters Arlene Huttinga and Norma Kittler, both of Grand Rapids, Mich.; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A private cremation is planned.
The family suggests memorial donations to Rancho Bernardo Presbyterian Church, 17010 Pomerado Road, San Diego, CA 92127.

Francis Nowak, 82
OCEANSIDE - Francis Stanley Nowak, 82, died Saturday, Aug. 19, 2000, in Oceanside.
Born June 18, 1918, in Bessimer, Mich., he lived in Oceanside for 46 years. He was a paymaster for the civil service and retired as a master sergeant after serving 30 years with the U.S. Marine Corps in World War II and the Korean War.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 29, at Mission San Luis Rey Cemetery. Burial will follow.

Will Heinle, 86
FALLBROOK - The Rev. Will Heinle, 86, died Friday, Aug. 25, 2000, in Fallbrook.
Born April 18, 1914, in Matamoras, Pa., he lived in Fallbrook for 22 years. He was a minister for 20 years, retiring from Village Christian Center in Fallbrook. He was a member of Living Waters Christian Fellowship in Fallbrook and past associate of United Evangelical churches.
Mr. Heinle was preceded in death by his wife, Nelrose Heinle, in 1996. He is survived by his son, Albert Heinle of Fallbrook; stepson Michael McManus of Temecula; daughter Charlotte Davis of Laguna Niguel; stepdaughters Kristy Homan of Oceanside and Carol Armes of Vista; brother Karl Heinle of Vestal, N.Y.; 13 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held Monday, Aug. 28, at Berry-Bell & Hall Fallbrook Mortuary. A funeral service is scheduled for 1 p.m. today, Aug. 29, at Living Water Christian Fellowship in Fallbrook, with the Rev. Ronald Snyder officiating. Burial will follow at Fallbrook Masonic Cemetery.
The family suggests memorial donations to the Jesus Film Project, 100 Suncourt Lane, Orlando, FL 32809.

Norman Christiansen, 80
POWAY - Norman Carroll Christiansen, 80, died Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2000, at Vencor Hospital in San Diego.
Born Dec. 21, 1919, in Everett, Wash., he lived in Poway for 11 years. He was a senior check captain for Pan American World Airways before retiring in 1979. He served in the U.S. Navy, flying in the Pacific Theater during World War II and was a member of Clipper Pioneers and the International Order of Characters.
Mr. Christiansen is survived by his wife of 43 years, Barbara S. Christiansen of Poway; son David Christiansen of Lexington, Ky.; daughters Jennifer Christiansen of Colomars, France, Janet Christiansen of San Diego, Carol Christiansen of W. Palm Beach, Fla., Lucy Moore of San Jose and Julie Dull of San Juan Capistrano; sister Imogene Murdock of Seattle; and nine grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 8, at Rancho Bernardo Community Presbyterian Church, with Dr. Terrence Sherry officiating. A private inurnment is planned.
The family suggests memorial donations to Sharp Cardiology & Cancer Research Program, 5555 Grossmont Center Drive, La Mesa, CA 91942.

Myron Manning, 57
SAN MARCOS - Myron Charles Manning, 57, died Sunday, Aug. 27, 2000, at Kaiser Hospital in San Diego.
Born Aug. 31, 1942, in Wisconsin, he lived in San Marcos. He worked for Ultra Neon Sign Co. and served in the U.S. Marine Corps.
Mr. Manning is survived by his wife of 12 years, Jean Manning of San Marcos; and sons Matt Manning and Tim Manning, both of Boise, Idaho.
A memorial service is pending. A private cremation is planned.

Kathryn Gold, 79
ESCONDIDO - Kathryn K. Gold, 79, died Thursday, Aug. 24, 2000, of asthma, at Palomar Medical Center.
Born May 14, 1921, in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, she lived in Escondido. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Gold was preceded in death by her mother and father, Charlotte and Oscar Long; and brothers Harold Long, Bud Long, Ray Long and Larry Long. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Robert B. Gold of Escondido; daughter Vanessa Van Lobensels of Vista; sister Phyllis Cline; grandchildren Petko Mihailovich and Monique Mihailovich; niece Audrey Dinley; and nephew Art Ledesma.
A private service is planned.
The family suggests memorial donations to Elizabeth Hospice, 150 W. Crest St., Escondido, Ca 92025; or the American Cancer Society, 12405 Rancho Bernardo Road, Suite 100, San Diego, CA 92128.

George Dawes, 75
PAYSON, Ariz. - George F. Dawes, 75, died Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2000, in Payson, Ariz.
Born Jan. 25, 1925, in DeFuniak Springs, Fla., he lived in Fallbrook for 20 years before moving to Payson in 1968. He served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS San Juan during World War II and worked at the Naval Weapons Station in Fallbrook and at Camp Pendleton before retiring from civil service in 1967. He worked as a deputy sheriff for Gila County in Payson and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Moose Lodge and was a previous member of the Fallbrook Lions Club.
Mr. Dawes was preceded in death by his wife, Frieda Dawes in November 1999. He is survived by his daughters and son-in-law, Barbara and Bob Arboneaux of Fallbrook and Darlene Mayes of Sandy, Utah; son Bill Dawes of Payson; sister Bernice Jung of Manitowoc, Wis.; brothers Marland Dawes of Lakeside, Duane Dawes of Templeton and Larry Dawes of Fallbrook; 14 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 31, at the American Legion Lodge in Payson. A private inurnment will take place at the National Memorial cemetery in Phoenix.
