Jack Eisenbach, 82

SAN MARCOS - Jack A. Eisenbach, 82, died Sunday, April 9, 2000, at Palomar Medical Center.

Born April 8, 1918, in Hungary, he lived in San Marcos for seven years. He was a telemarketer for Faxfoods and a member of Shriners and St. Mark's Catholic Church.

Mr. Eisenbach is survived by his wife of 37 years, Pilar Eisenbach of San Marcos; daughter and son-in-law Regina and Angel Llorente of San Marcos; brother and sister-in-law Martin and Dorothy Eisenbach of Florida; sister Irma Eisenbach-Muller of Pennsylvania; and grandson Vincent Llorente.

A Mass was celebrated Friday, April 14, at St. Mark's Catholic Church.

The family suggests memorial donations to Shriners Hospital for Children, 3160 Geneva St., Los Angeles, CA 90020.

Gonvala Martinez, 89

OCEANSIDE - Gonvala Martinez, 89, died Friday, April 14, 2000, at the home of her daughter.

Born Jan. 10, 1911, in Mexico, she lived in Oceanside for 61 years. She was a homemaker for 72 years.

Mrs. Martinez was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore Martinez, in 1965; her son, Philip Martinez, in 1994; grandsons Philip Martinez Jr. and Eric Flores, in 1992, Gilbert Martinez, in 1993, and Fabian Martinez. She is survived by her sons, Lucio Martinez of Gilroy, Paul Martinez of Oceanside, Theodore Martinez Jr. of Vista and Joe Martinez of Ramona; daughters Tillie Flores of Oceanside, Jenny Aquirre of Gilroy and Linda Trejo of Vista; 37 grandchildren; 75 great-grandchildren; and 31 great-great-grandchildren.

A rosary was recited Monday, April 17, at Eternal Hills Mortuary. A Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. today, April 18, at St. Mary's Star of the Sea Church, with the Rev. Michael Pham officiating.

Emily Owens-Chamberlain, 93

ESCONDIDO - Emily Owens-Chamberlain, 93, died Monday, April 10, 2000, of heart failure, at Redwood Town Court in Escondido.

Born Jan. 18, 1907, in Cleveland, she lived in Escondido for 10 years. She was a municipal court clerk for San Diego County before retiring in 1967.

Mrs. Owens-Chamberlain was preceded in death by her first husband, Rexford Chamberlain, in 1990; and her second husband, Raymond Lee Owens Jr., in 1996. She is survived by her stepson and stepdaughter-in-law, Alan B. and Linda Chamberlain of Vista; stepdaughter and stepson-in-law Arlene and Frank Lochridge of Escondido; one grandchild; four stepgrandchildren; one great-grandchild; and four step-great-grandchildren.

A private memorial service will be held for immediate family at a later date. A private cremation is planned with inurnment to take place at Eternal Hills Memorial Park.

Jane Peterson, 72

VISTA - Jane Drollinger Peterson, 72, died Wednesday, April 12, 2000, at her home.

Born March 3, 1928, in Wisconsin, she lived in Vista for one year. She was a bookkeeper for Bader-Rutter Association before retiring.

Mrs. Peterson was preceded in death by her brother, Jacob Drollinger. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Robert W. Peterson of Vista; daughter and son-in-law Laurin and Gregory Pause of Carlsbad; sister-in-law Margaret Drollinger of Milwaukee; brother-in-law Carl Thieme of Dyersburg, Tenn.; and grandson Jonathon Pause of Carlsbad.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

The family suggests memorial donations to the American Cancer Society, 12405 Rancho Bernardo Road, San Diego, CA 92127.

Jeremiah Sexton, 88

PENDLETON, Ky. - Jeremiah "Jerry" Thomas Sexton, 88, died Tuesday, April 4, 2000, at his home.

Born Nov. 21, 1911, in Cleveland, he previously lived in Oceanside. He was a postal carrier and a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles.

Mr. Sexton was preceded in death by his wife, Alma Sexton. He is survived by his stepdaughter, Carol Shaner of Torrance; grandson Robert Losey of Phoenix; great-grandchildren Michelle Franklin and Ed Finau of King of Prusia, Pa.; and four great-great-grandchildren.

A funeral service at Eternal Hills Mortuary will be announced at a later date. Burial will take place at Lakeview Urn Garden in Oceanside.

Ransdell Funeral Home in Bedford, Ky., is handling arrangements.

Thomas Jarboe, 50

ESCONDIDO - Thomas Wade Jarboe, 50, died Wednesday, April 12, 2000, in Escondido.

Born Sept. 2, 1949, in Lawrence, Kan., he lived in Escondido for 11 years. He was a counter salesperson for Napa Auto Parts.

Mr. Jarboe is survived by his wife of 27 years, Patricia Jarboe of Escondido; son Thomas Jarboe of Escondido; daughter Michelle Jarboe of Escondido; sisters Meredith Webb of Washington, Sheryl Morre of San Diego, Jackie Roggenbuck of Anaheim and Cathy Collins of California; and niece Cris Perez of San Diego. An urn graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, April 21, at Oak Hill Memorial Park, with Zac Elliott officiating.

Juan Pino, 66

ESCONDIDO - Juan Pino, died Wednesday, April 5, 2000.

Born March 30, 1934, he lived in Escondido for 30 years.

A private service was held. Burial took place at Oak Hill Memorial Park.

Gary Good, 59

SAN MARCOS - Gary Good, 59, died Thursday, April 6, of cancer, at Palomar Medical Center.

Born Dec. 12, 1940, in Cherokee, Iowa, he lived in San Marcos. He served in the U.S. Marines for six years and worked in the wholesale business before working at Twin Oaks Market in San Marcos.

Mr. Good is survived by his wife, Alice Good; brother Bill Good of Colorado; and sister Karen Good of Colorado.

Interment will take place at

Keith Anderson, 71

MURRIETA - Keith LaMar Anderson, 71, died Monday, April 10, 2000, of cardiopulmonary arrest, at Rancho Springs Medical Center.

Born June 21, 1928, in Los Angeles, he lived in Murrieta for 12 years. He was a police officer for the city of West Covina and was a volunteer for the Cub Scouts of America for 52 years. He was awarded the Silver Beaver for his contribution to Cub Scouts.

Mr. Anderson is survived by his wife, Joy Anderson of Murrieta; daughters Karen Tuttle of Yorba Linda, Glendal Holt of Indio and Wendy Steed of Eagle, Idaho; brother Don Anderson of Alta Loma; 13 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 17, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Murrieta.

Burial will take place at Laurel Cemetery.

Valley Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

Mary Shrader, 80

SUN CITY - Mary Francis Shrader, 80, died Saturday, April 15, 2000, at Beverly Healthcare Murrieta.

Born March 17, 1920, in Knoxville, Tenn., she lived in Sun City. She was a homemaker for 15 years.

Mrs. Shrader is survived by her husband, Lewis Shrader of Sun City; stepson Lewis Shrader Jr.; and daughter-in-law Karen Shrader of Mission Viejo.

No service is planned. A private cremation is planned with cremains to be scattered at sea.

Harry West, 71

TEMECULA - Harry Richard "Coach" West, 71, died Sunday, April 16, 2000, at his home in Temecula.

Born Jan. 21, 1929, in Worland, Wyo., he lived in Temecula for 11 years. He was a community college teacher and administrator before retiring. He also worked for Maurice Carrie and Van Roekel wineries. He was a member of the American Legion of Temecula and the Temecula Valley Wine Society.

Mr. West is survived by his wife of 17 years, Leonora West of Temecula; sons Steve West, Kary West and Mike West; daughters Marla Laudner and Lexie West; sister Sharon Porter; and grandchildren Andrea, Kyle, Aron, Jeffrey, Gregory, Barrett and Valerie.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 22, at San Diego City College Theater in San Diego.

The family suggests memorial donations to the Harry West Athletic Scholarship Fund, c/o San Diego City College Foundation, 1313 12th Ave., San Diego, CA 92101.

Helen Morra, 75

SAN DIEGO - Helen Morra, 75, died Tuesday, April 11, 2000.

Born March 17, 1925, in Staten Island, N.Y., she lived in San Diego. She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Morra is survived by her daughter Michele Morra Cass; brother Tony Morra; and four grandchildren.

The family suggests memorial donations to the American Cancer Society, 12405 Rancho Bernardo Road, Suite 100, San Diego, CA 92128.

Alida Vandenbroek, 82
OCEANSIDE - Alida Vandenbroek, 82, died Saturday, April 15, 2000, at her home.

Born Nov. 26, 1917, in Bandung, Indonesia, she lived in Oceanside for five years. She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Vandenbroek is survived by her husband, Johannea Vandenbroek of Oceanside; sons and daughter-in-law Jacques Vandenbroek of Oceanside, Huibert and Beth Vandenbroek of Oak Harbor, Wash., and Frans Vandenbroek of Mission Viejo; daughter Ita Vandenbroek of Westminster; and six grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. Thursday, April 20, at Twin Cities Christian Church in Oceanside, with the Rev. Mike Openshaw officiating. A private cremation is planned.

Mary Tambert, 98

RANCHO BERNARDO - Mary G. Tambert, 98, died Tuesday, April 4, 2000, in Escondido.

Born July 4, 1901, in Denmark, Wis., she lived in Rancho Bernardo for 27 years. She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Tambert is survived by her daughter-in-law, Connie Tambert Biocini of Fulsom; daughter and son-in-law Louise and Gil Zinniker of Escondido; grandchildren Karl Zinniker, Karen Beecher, Jimmy Tambert, Linda Painter and Christine Boyd; 10 great-great-grandchildren; and niece Diane Hess.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 29, at Grace Lutheran Church in Escondido, with the Rev. James Young officiating. A private cremation is planned.

Willard "Cookie" Craven

Willard "Cookie" Craven, 87, died Saturday, April 15, 2000, in Escondido.

Born Nov. 25, 1912, in Vibard, Mo., he lived in Escondido for 21 years. He was a postal clerk for the U.S. Post Office for 25 years and served in the U.S. Army for four years during World War II.

Mr. Craven was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Pauline Craven. He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Arthur P. and Alberta A. Nelson of Escondido.

No service will be held. A private cremation is planned with cremains to be scattered at sea by the U.S. military with full honors.
