CARLSBAD - Victoria M. Monroe, 58, died Friday, Jan. 21, 2000, at her residence of cancer.
Born Aug. 14, 1941, in Kansas City, Mo., she was a resident of Carlsbad for 20 years. She was a LcDr., retired from the U.S. Navy Nurse Corp.
Ms. Monroe was the oldest of 11 children born to Mae and Alfred Monroe, Sr. She is survived by her mother, four sisters and 5 brothers.
A funeral is scheduled for 2 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 26, at Eternal Hills Chapel with burial at sea.

ESCONDIDO - June J. Eiland, 72, died Thursday, Jan. 20, 2000, at Palomar Hospital.
Born June 24, 1927, in Washington, she was a resident of Escondido for 44 years. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Eiland is survived by her husband of 35 years, A. Z. Eiland of Escondido; sons Robert Justice of Maryland, Ken Eiland of San Jose and Koaby Eiland of Milwaukee, Ore.; daughters Sally Nash of Bonsall, Laurie Labo of Escondido and Kelly Parker of Clackamas, Ore.; 13 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
A private service is planned.

VISTA - George Herbert Anderson, 94, died Friday, Jan. 21, 2000 at Rancho Vista Retirement Home.
Born March 16, 1905, in Minnesota, he was a resident of Vista for 13 years. He was retired from the recreation parks.
Mr. Anderson is survived by his sons Curt Anderson of Fallon, Nev., Gerry Anderson of Oceanside and Jerry Anderson of Oceanside; daughter Margaret Malch of Supulveda; brother Paul Anderson of Vancouver, Wash., sister Anna Keens of Tujunga; grandchildren Curtis of Fallon, Nev., Lisa of Sacramento, Gari Lynn of Cayucos, Jill of Orinda, Angela of Spring Valley, Michelle of Oceanside, Deborah of Carlsbad, Kerri of Rochester, N.Y., Jim of Newberry Park, Barbara of Mission Hills; great-grandchildren Kim and Jeff of Newberry Park, Michaela and Jenny of Fallon, Nev., Joey and Andera of Spring Valley.
Graveside and burial services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m., Friday, Jan. 28, at Eternal Hills Memorial Park.

VISTA - Joseph F. Heiberger, 56, died Thursday, Jan. 20, 2000, at his residence.
Born Dec. 30, 1943, in Chicago, he was a resident of Vista for 20 years. He was employed by Pacific Bell.
Mr. Heiberger is survived by his wife of 35 years, Sandra Heiberger of Vista; sons and daughers-in-law Joseph M. and Shelby Heiberger of Vista, and Frank and Terri Heiberger of Merced; daughter Jennifer L. Heiberger of Vista; brothers Frank S. Heiberger of Costa Mesa, Michael Heiberger of West Chester, Ill., and John Heiberger of West Chester, Ill.; grandchildren Joseph M. Heiberger, Kathleen Heiberger, Jason Heiberger, and Derek Heiberger.
There will be a private cremation. No service will be held at the request of the deceased.

OKLAHOMA CITY - Alva B. Parks, 98, died Sunday, Jan. 23, 2000.
Born Sept. 15, 1901, in Meeker, Okla., he was retired from Bank of America. He participated in bowling into his 80s.
He was preceeded in death by his wife of 70 years, Ollie (Calaway) Parks in 1993; his brothers Uel, Gordon, Nola, Earl and Harry; sisters Edna and Nellie.
He is survived by his sister, Mary Adams of Stafford, Ariz., and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation is scheduled for Monday evening and Tuesday, Jan. 24 and 25 at Baggerley-South Funeral Home. Graveside service is scheduled fro 3 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 26 at Rose Hills Memorial Park Cemetery, Whittier.

She was preceeded in death by her husband Jack in 1967.
She is survived by her son Tony (Skip) and her grandson Tim, both of Hermosa Beach; her brothers Joe Giovannone of Teaneck, N. J. and George of Ft. Meyers, Fla. and her sister Antoinette Fischetta of Bergenfield, N. J.
A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 25, at St. Francis Catholic Church in Vista with entombment to follow at Eternal Hills Cemetary.

Born Aug. 19, 1901, in Lawrenceville, Ill., she was a resident of Vista for 55 years.
Mrs. Tribble was preceeded in death by her husband James T. Tribble in 1959.
She is survived by her nephew Thomas L. Gillespie and his wife Junanita Gillespie of LaVerne; her niece Linda Bodie of Vista; grandnephews Brooks L. Bodie and John Gillespie and grandniece Janice Gillespie.

FALLBROOK - Col. Byron Leslie Paige, 90, died Thursday, Jan. 20, 2000.
Born April 9, 1909, in Deckerville, Mich., he was retired from the U.S. Army as a Colonel in 1960. He was a member of TROA-West Point Society, a Army War College Allumni, and a graduate of West Point Military Academy.
He is survived by his wife Helen T. "Suzie" Pain of Fallbrook; sons Christopher D. Paige of Morgan Hill and Timothy M. Paige of San Diego; daughters Maretta T. Holden of Mercer Island, Wash., Melinda M. Helfer-Esgewood of Mo., and Patricia Paige Knien of Seattle; brothers Ronald F. Paige of La Puente and David S. Paige of Houston; 7 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
A visitation is scheduled from 4 to 7 p.m. with a 6 p.m. Vigil on Tuesday, Jan. 25 at Berry-Bell & Hall Chapel. ESCONDIDO - Ines Vozza, 81, died Saturday, Jan. 22, 2000.
Born Jan. 16, 1919, in Italy, she was a resident of Escondido for 15 years. She was a homemaker for 60 years.
Mrs. Vozza was preceded in death by her husband Gelsuberto Vozza in 1991.
She is survived by her sons Joe Vozza and Silvio Vozza both of Escondido.

Thomas Kudravy, 71
LOMA LINDA - Thomas Richard Kudravy, 71, died Saturday, Jan. 22, 2000, at Loma Linda University Medical Center.
Born Aug. 29, 1928, in Fairveiw Villes, Ohio, he was a self-employed brick mason for 40 years. He served in the U.S. Army from 1946 to 1953. He was a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1508 and held the office of past surgeon and had most recently served as guard for Post 1508. He was a past Seam Squirrel of the Military Order of the Cooties; member of the American Legion, Moose Lodge of Wildomar and Elks Lodge of Temecula, and a past commander of Pup Tent #78. He also enjoyed billiards.
Mr. Kudravy is survived by sons Pat and Tom Kudravy, both of Wildomar; sisters Marie Bickimer of Florida and Clara Yakobis of Ohio; stepsons Ken Hallman of RIverside, Leonard Hallman of Cleveland, Ohio, Phillip Hallman of Fallbrook; and Ronald Hallman of Moreno Valley; and half-brother Nick Corante of Wildomar.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 27, 2000, at Miller-Jones Mortuary & Crematory in Sun City. A funeral service, with Chaplin James Dale officiating, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 28, 2000, at Riverside National Cemetery.

Michael Sadlon, 85
CANYON LAKE - Michael F. Sadlon, 85, died Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2000, at his home in Canyon Lake.
Born Jan. 5, 1915, in Ansonia, Conn., he lived in Canyon Lake for one year. He was a rigger for Sikorsky Aircraft in Connecticut and was a communicant of St. Augustine Church, also in Connecticut. He was a life member of the East End Yacht Club.
Mr. Sadlon is survived by his sons, Donald Sadlon of Canyon Lake and Michael Sadlon of Williamantic, Conn.; brothers Eugene Sadlon of Oxford, Conn., and Walter Sadlon of Shelton, Conn.; sisters Frances Moran of Ansonia and Cecilia Swetz of Beacon Falls, Conn.; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 27, at Ralph E. Hall Funeral Home in Connecticut.

SUN CITY - Edward Charles Vance, 88, died Thursday, Jan. 20, 2000, at San Dimas Hospital.
Born Feb. 10, 1911, in Newark, N.J., he lived in Sun City for 25 years. He was an auditor for Prudential Insurance in Los Angeles for 46 years and was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Sun City, the Lions Club of Sun City and Crime Watch in Sun City.
Mr. Vance is survived by his son, Ed Vance of Santa Barbara; daughter Diane Seemann of Glendora; sisters Marg Nixon of Huntington Beach and Marie Hancock of Clovis; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 26, at Perris Valley Cemetery.

Max Wilson, 80
SUN CITY - Max Harry Wilson, 80, died Friday, Jan. 21, 2000, at Sun City Convalescent Center.
Born July 19, 1919, in Correy, Pa., he lived in Sun City for 14 years. He was a police officer in Jamestown for 18 years and served in the U.S. Army from 1946 to 1949.
Mr. Wilson is survived by his son, Donald Wilson of Sandy, Utah; daughters Prisilla Dewhirst of Covina and Patricia Wellmen of Indian Lake, Mich.; companion Dorothy Koch of Sun City; and 12 grandchildren.
Burial will take place at Riverside National Cemetery.
