THIS INDENTURE, Made the 29th day of April one thousand nine hundred and thirty-six BETWEEN Mrs. W. M. STREIG, a widow, of Lake City, Modoc County, California, the party of the first part, and Modoc County of the State of California, the party of the second part,
WITNESSETH: That the said party of the first part, in consideration of the sum of Ten dollars, lawful money of the United States of America, to her in hand paid by the said party of the second part, the receipt hereof is hereby acknowledged, does by these presents, grant, bargain, and sell unto the said party of the second part, and to its successor or successors and assigns forever, all that certain lot, piece or parcel of land situate in the County of Modoc, State of California, and bounded and described as follows, to wit:
Beginning at a point s 69 deg. 47° E. and distant 790.0 feet from the northwest corner of section 38, Township 44 N. of Range 15 E.M.D.M., Thence S 8 Deg. 59° E. a distance of 295.0 feet Thence N 83 deg. 02° E. a distance of 149.8 feet Thence west and north along the arc of a curve as usually measured and with a radius of 116.19 feet, a distance of 138.8 feet to the end of the curve Thence N 26 deg. 10°W. a distance of 205.0 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning said tract of land containing 0.298 acres more or less.
It being understood that said above described land is to be used by the party of the second part as a right of way for road purposes giving and granting unto said second party an easement to said above described land for a right of way for road purposes.
TOGETHER with the tenements, hereditaments, and appurtenances thereunto belonging or appertaining, and the reversion and reversions, remainder and remainders, rents, issues and profits thereof.
TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the said premises, together with the appurtenances, unto the said party of the second part, and to its successor or successors and assigns forever.
