THIS INDENTURE, Made this 25th day of November A.D. 1914.
BETWEEN Samuel C. PAINTER of the town of Lake City, County of Modoc, State of California, the party of the first part, and Mrs. N. C. STREIG of the same place County and State, the party of the second part,
WITNESSETH: That the said party of the first part, for and in consideration of the sum of Ten ($10.00) Dollars, Gold Coin of the United States of America, to him in hand paid by the said party of the second part, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, has granted, bargained and sold, conveyed and confirmed, and by these presents do grant, bargain and sell, convey and confirm unto the said party of the second part and to her heirs and assigns forever, all that certain lot, piece or parcel of land situate, lying and being in the Town of Lake City County of Modoc, State of California, and bounded and particularly described as follows, to wit:---
The South half (S1/2) of lot numbered five (5) in Block J. being a piece of land 20 feet front on main street and 130 feet deep more or less.
TOGETHER with all and singular the tenements, hereditaments and appurtenances thereunto belonging, or in anywise appertaining; and the reversion and reversions, remainder and remainders, rents, issues and profits thereof.
TO HAVE AND TO HOLD, all and singular the said premises, together with the appurtenances, unto the said party of the second part, and to her heirs and assigns forever.
