Roy Gene Simmons 
July 31, 1930 - Dec. 14, 2005 

Roy died in La Pine, Oregon, December 14, 2005. A memorial service was held in 
Bend, OR. Roy served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1948 to 1952. Roy had 
worked for The Isotherm Company in Bakersfield for about 25 years. When he 
retired he and his wife, Ruth, moved to Washington state, where he went into 
the ministry serving the Lord until they moved to La Pine, Oregon. They served 
in the Church there for a number of years. Roy is survived by his wife of 54 
years, Ruth (Noble) Simmons; two daughters, Brenda and Mike Hackney of Coos 
Bay, OR, and Tina and Bill Ingram of Patterson, CA; one sister, Betty of 
Bakersfield; 7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
