Carl passed into the presence of the Lord on April 25, 2005, in Bakersfield, California. Carl is survived by Kathi, his wife of almost 50 years, in addition to his 5 children: Dale (Kelly) Camden, IN; Diane Yelm, WA; Dana (Mary Ann) Ocean Shores, WA; Dan (Heidi) Everett, WA; and David serving in Okinawa, Japan with the US Army. Carl also has 8 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild. Carl spent most of his younger life in the Bellevue, Redmond area of Washington State and graduated from Lake Washington HS, attended the University of Washington, worked for a short time at Boeing Airplane Co before working for 44 years in the Telephone Industry. Carl worked his way up into the engineering department at Pacific Northwest Bell and worked not only in the Seattle area, but also San Francisco, San Jose, Chicago Illinois, Reno and Las Vegas NV. Carls hobbies were fishing, boating, camping, backpacking, working on automobiles, cooking, and traveling throughout the USA. Carl was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, Bakersfield, Telephone Pioneers of America, Issaquah Lodge 108 F&AM, and several RV and camping clubs. Services will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, April 28th at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 2525 Belle Terrace, Bakersfield, California. The family requests Memorials be sent to Lutheran World Relief, Redeemer Lutheran Church, or the Diabetes Association in lieu of flowers.
