Services: Sat., Apr. 30, 10 a.m.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, April 30, at 10:00 a.m., at First 
Presbyterian Church for Ernest G. Hoskins, 82, who died April 19, 2005, in 
Bakersfield. 

Mr. Hoskins, 82, was born in Oakland, CA and had resided in Bakersfield for 30 
years. He retired in 1981 after 35 years as a petroleum geologist. During 
World War II, he served as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force as a Navigator 
of the B24. He was a graduate of Stanford University, a member of A.A.P.G., 
and a member of First Presbyterian Church.

He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Survivors include his wife of 
59 years, Wilma; sons, Cliff and his wife, Amy Hoskins of Costa Mesa, CA, Dr. 
Richard Hoskins and his wife, Randy of Yorba Linda, CA; daughters, Suzie 
Hoskins of Brea, CA, Cheryl and her husband, Don Jenkins of Temecula, CA; 
seven grandchildren, Andrew, Timothy, Michael, Ryan, Kelsey, Amber and Sam. He 
was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Mabel Hoskins; and sisters, 
Bridle Thompson and Pat Parsell.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Boy Scouts of 
America, 2417 M Street, Bakersfield, CA 93301.
