Preston Doyle Hooper
June 19, 1929 – Aug. 21, 2005

Memorial services were held on Aug. 27 at Calvary Chapel for Preston Doyle 
Hooper, who passed away on Aug. 21, due to complications from a recent surgery.

Preston was born in Spur, Texas on June 19, 1929, to Preston and Lucy Hooper. 
He entered the U.S. Army, served his country proudly and was discharged in 
1947.

He married Linda Irene Bleak in August of 1976 in Anaheim, where they made 
their home until 1983, when they came to Tehachapi.

Preston was employed for 35 years as a truck driver, a profession he truly 
enjoyed. More recently he worked as a security guard and enjoyed meeting the 
variety of people he encountered. Mostly he was devoted to his family, which 
he considered the most important love of his life.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Hooper; daughter, Linda Robin Hooper Aguilar 
of Downey; and son, Richard Preston Hooper of Tehachapi. He is predeceased by 
an infant daughter, Debra Hooper, and an infant son, Charles Hooper.
