John Sanchez

John A. Sanchez was born on November 30, 1955, in Bakersfield to Benito and 
Herlinda Sanchez and died suddenly on July 25, 2004. He was only 48 years old. 

John was a loving, caring father and friend to all. He is survived by his 21 
year old son, Michael Alexander and his 15 year old son, Corey Jonathan. He is 
also survived by his parents, Benito and Herlinda; brothers, Benito, Ralph, 
Joseph, Albert and Arthur; sisters, Gracie Cepeda and Mary Lou Nutt, and 
numerous other family members.

John enjoyed his work as an X-Ray Technician and spending time with his 
family, but the true joys of life were his two sons, Michael and Corey. John 
had a strong place in his heart for each of his boys as they loved him. Not 
only will John be missed everyday, but every family member, sibling, wife, 
child and friend will hold a piece of him close to their hearts. He will 
continue to be loved just as much, if not more, as when he was with us. All 
who knew him are considered blessed for having him a part of their lives. As 
Henry Ward Beecher wrote: What the heart has once owned and had, it shall 
never lose.

All are invited to the Rosary and Mass on Monday, August 2, 2004, at 10:30 
a.m., at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. Visitation will be Sunday 1-5 p.m., at 
Hillcrest Mortuary.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the children, Michael and Corey.
