Father Ralph Belluomini will officiate. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Michael was born on September 12, 1946, in Bakersfield, CA to Magdaleno and Annie Munoz. He passed away peacefully at home on July 25, 2004. He attended local schools and graduated from Bakersfield High school in 1965, where he competed for four years in varsity football and varsity wrestling. He is remembered as a fierce competitor and completed his BHS wrestling career as a Valley Champion his senior year. Michael also attended Bakersfield College and the University of Nevada at Reno. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1967 and was sent to the Vietnam War and wounded in battle in April 1968. He was awarded the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star for valor. Michael returned to Bakersfield to work at his familys local Mexican restaurant, Sinaloa. In the seventies he owned Quattrifoglio Automotive Engineering specializing in Alfa Romeo and other import cars. The last seven years Mike has been perpetuating a line of Arabian horses started by his father. Mike is preceded in death by his mother, Annie Valencia Munoz. He is survived by his father, Magdaleno Mike Munoz; his loving wife, Eileen; his daughters, Michelle and Ali Munoz; stepdaughters, Lisa Wedemeyer, Kristin Walker and Mia Tiffany; numerous nieces, nephews and grandchildren; sisters, Sally Santa Cruz, Lydia Munoz and Jeannine Robles and brothers, Jeffery and Thomas Munoz. Mikes family would like to offer their heartfelt thanks to Dr. M.C. Barnard, a special friend to Mike. They would also like to thank Optimal Hospice Care, especially Kyle Ray for the outstanding attention Mike received. Pallbearers will be Greg Canard, Billadin Diaz, Gilbert Gonzalez, Art Hernandez, Ted Oliver and Jack Serros.
