Born on January 25, 1910, in Hurricane, Utah, she moved to Bakersfield with her family as a child. Hazel was in the graduating class of 1928 from Kern County Union High School. An active and enthusiastic participant of her community, Hazel was a member of the Womans Club, her childrens PTA, multiple Bridge clubs, and Trinity Methodist Church. Her endless ability to exude energy and love carried with her throughout her entire life. Her vast circle of family and friends were drawn by her effervescence and endearing nature. With a small charismatic laugh, Hazel would smile and light up your world.
