Harrington 9/29/1920 - 11/7/2004 A beautiful, loving, forgiving soul, released from her pain and went to be with her God on November 7, 2004. No services will be held. A private scattering of her cremated remains will occur at the Rose Garden at Paso Robles District Cemetery. A loving gathering in celebration of her life will take place at a later date. Hilde was born in Sistig, Germany on September 29, 1920. She came to the United States in 1922 and settled with her family in Winnetka, Illinois where she attended local Catholic elementary schools, graduating from New Trier High School in Evanston, Illinois in 1938, followed by business college. She worked briefly with the Winnetka Library. In 1944, she was employed by an emerging new company called Culligan Soft Water, where she became secretary to the President and CEO for 39 plus years, retiring in 1982. She and her husband then moved to Sedona, Arizona until 1990, when they moved to Paso Robles, California. She was indeed a beautiful and intelligent lady in all respects, and always very loving and devoted to her husband, and very loyal to all. She is survived by her husband, Jack Harrington; nieces, Meghan Yates and family of Coer DAlene, Idaho, Jackie Trapp and family of Tucson, Arizona; nephew, Tad Lilly and family of Honolulu, Hawaii; stepdaughter, Michelle Kilgore of Ashville, NC; special friends, Helen Thwing and family, Myrtle Boatman and her daughter, Lynn Newhouse and many loving P.E.O.
