Frank moved to Bakersfield, CA in November 2000. He enjoyed the warm surroundings provided by his son and daughter-in-law, Jesse and Diane, his son, Frank, Jr. and grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Frank, dearly known as Big Pop was born in Douglas, Georgia where he spent most of his years as a youth. He later relocated to Staten Island, NY where he wed Carrie Mason, began a family, and worked as a backhoe operator for 35 years. After retiring in 1980 from Ocean View Cemetery the Beautiful of Staten Island, Frank and Carrie embarked on a series of cross country trips, visiting loved ones. His wife went to be with the Lord in April 1991. Big Pop loved dressing to the T in fine clothing. It wasnt uncommon for him to greet you in full suit with handkerchief and hat for an afternoon of television. Other pastimes were playing his electric guitar, piano and attending church services. He was a member of the Camarillo First Church of God in Christ, Camarillo, CA where he accepted Jesus Christ as Savior and was baptized by his pastor and son, Jesse.
