Ed joined the U.S. Air Force in 1954 and served 20 years in Newfoundland, Canada, Maine, Okinawa, Japan, California and South Carolina. He retired from Bechtel Petroleum in 1995. He is survived by his loving wife, Carol and his three children; Teresa and spouse, Jeff of Solvang, CA, Joseph and his spouse, Vicki of Phoenix, AZ and Bruce and spouse, Ronda of Bakersfield, CA. He is also survived by his step- daughters, Elizabeth and spouse, John of Vero Beach, FL., Lesliegh, Lyndley and spouse, Todd, and adopted daughter, Carolyn Aggerton, all of Bakersfield, CA. Also his sister, Shirley and spouse, Art of Bakersfield, CA and brother, Stanley of Oklahoma. He was the best Papa to 14 grandchildren and one great- grandchild. Ed came to know our Lord and Savior as a young boy, from the knee of Mother Betty. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Greenacres. Honorary casketbearers will be Joe, Bruce, Jeff, Todd, Derek, Joshua, Spencer and Tracy. No visitation is scheduled.
