Celeste Disney 
Feb. 16, 1941 - Feb. 7, 2006 
Services: Mon., Feb. 13, 2:00 p.m. 

A graveside service will be conducted by Peters Funeral Home for Celeste 
Disney, age 64, on Monday, February 13, 2006, at 2:00 p.m., at Shafter 
Memorial Park. Elder Dana Mulder of the Seventh Day Adventist Church of 
Shafter will officiate. Celeste was born in Bakersfield to Louie and Geraldine 
Jarrard. She graduated from Shafter High School Class of 1959. Celeste married 
Donald Disney on October 22, 1959, in Shafter, and then moved to Bakersfield. 
She was employed as a cook by Memorial Hospital for 12 years, and then was 
employed by the Panama Buena Vista School District for the next 12 years as a 
food service employee for Stine School, where she put a spark in everyone's 
day. She was a hard worker and was looking forward to retirement. Celeste was 
a loving, nurturing wife, mother and grandmother. She loved traveling and 
attending the grandkids sports events. Celeste truly enjoyed burning the 
highway on her way to gamble with her husband looking for the "Next Casino". 
Her license plate said it all "Get out of my way, I'm going gambling. Celeste 
was preceded in death by her parents, and 3 brothers, Don, Richard and David. 
She is survived by her loving husband, Donald; daughters and sons-in-laws, 
Carrie and Bob Romagno; Debra and Roy Hunter; grandchildren, Cristie, Shawn, 
Derrick, Jake, Sarah, Alexis and Haylee all of Bakersfield; sister, Neoma and 
husband, Wayne Neely of Minnesota; sister-in-law, Tonie Abbott of Sand Point, 
Idaho; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and countless co-workers and
