French's daughter, Ella, married a Red Bluff jeweler, Bailey, and moved with him to Santa Cruz around 1868. His wife, Rebecca, and the rest of the family followed. In 1870 census, Rebecca is listed as a widow. I am trying to locate any information on French Tuttle, occupation and what happened to him. Did he die in Tehama County? Did he desert his family?
